Tuckiyana

9 sites · RVs, Tents9 acres · Broadwater, Lismore
The property is only approximately 9 acres and located approximately 4 to 5 kms off the Pacific Hwy on the Richmond River and not far from Evans Head, which is great for fishing, boating, biking, coastal walks, kite flying, etc, there are also kayaks available. There is a residence on the property that looks out to the water there are large open grass spaces as well as nice trees and vegetation, suitable for some wind activities too, or kicking a ball etc. The property is undulating so there are some flat spots that are limited near the water and different grades of slopping to the property. CAMPERS must check in at the house on Arrival unless other arrangements are made, are not to have any undeclared guests or extra people Low-lying areas can be a problem for vehicles after heavy or long periods of rain Beware it's easy to get bogged here in the wrong places the river is also brackish water and Tidal which has a 1 and 3/4 hour time lag from high tide marked in charts. Campers can choose a site when they arrive there are limited spots that are by the river or back from the river still with views, sort of first in best dressed unless discussed, for larger bookings please message me. There's wildlife and many birds on and off the river, it can sometimes be similar to parts of Kakadu with a mangrove forest you can kayak through on the extra high tides which is a very special treat if done at the right times. This is a riverfront property with mangroves so expect some mozzies mostly from Jan to May but strangely sometimes there not here too. Broadwater Beach is approximately a 5km drive, with Evans Head beaches, headland cliff walking tracks, etc, a fresh seafood co-op for nice cooked or uncooked seafood, clubs and pub, and shops, approximately 14 km 12 or so mins away as is the small towns of Wardell Woodburn, Coraki. Lismore and Ballina are approximately a 25 - 30 min drive. Flushing toilet. Hot/cold sink and garden shower. Pet friendly. Campfires are permitted in certain places or in the fire pits provided and further restricted to pits during the fire season if at all. A total fire ban means no fires whatsoever, please. Children under the age of 5 are free then up to 16 yrs half price. Water on this property is on tank water only and the economical use of water is appreciated more so, especially in the dry times. IMPORTANT PLEASE FOLLOW DIRECTIONS CAREFULLY TO ACCESS THE PROPERTY The Driveway is no more than about 10 meters off the Bitumen tar sealed road. Please examine directions for this listing thoroughly .

Eagles Nest Hideaway

27 sites · RVs, Tents600 acres · Dunoon, Lismore
This expansive 600 acre farm is a place of joy, peace and rare beauty. It is also home to much native wildlife. You can even see Platypus in the early mornings, playing in the creek. Over a kilometre of "Rocky Creek" runs through the Pecan Fields camp area, providing glorious waterholes for swimming, walks and great spots to set up camp for the weekend! We farm cattle on the property as well as macadamia nuts on the hills and pecan nuts by the creek. The pecan trees provide wonderful shade in summer and gorgeous dappled sunlit fields, so pretty. In winter the pecan trees lose their leaves and the sun shines through. Great for solar power! If you are looking to go camping with a SMALL GROUP (1 to 4 campers) or even JUST YOURSELF, the sites to choose from are in the "Pecan Grove". We offer just 4 sites in the Pecan Grove, so each camp has lots of space around it for you to relax and be at home in.. If you are wanting to book in a MEDIUM size, GROUP, (5 to 10 campers) and you are fine with sharing the large area and waterhole with just 1 other group (5 to 10 campers) then the PARADISE WATERHOLE it is, as the camp is divided into just 2 sites... Or The PECAN WATERHOLE has 4 large sites, 5 to 10 campers per site. Or you might have 20ish campers and want a whole waterhole all to yourselves and that's when you book out both sites at the PARADISE WATERHOLE 1 &2. This waterhole can cater for more than 20 campers, please feel free to text me for those enquiries :) If you are looking for a unique and beautiful waterhole all to yourselves, look no further... The Bass Waterhole is wonderful, great for LARGE GROUPS of 12 to 30 campers. No immediate neighbours at this waterhole. You may be looking for a camp for a LARGER GROUP (30 campers or more), you might consider booking out all 4 sites at the PECAN WATERHOLE (5 to 10 campers per site) for your camp, as this area is such an expansive and glorious play ground :) As a bonus, all you can eat pecan nuts May-July! The pecan wood is actually hickory, thus wood people use for smoking meats etc... so feel free the gather the hickory, bring your smokers and enjoy :) These camp areas are easy access, usually 2wd car is all you need. You will feel like you are really in nature here and yet you are only 6 minutes easy drive from the village of Dunoon. Dunoon village is cute yet, very practical. There is a general store, bottle shop and they sell ice, Mechanic, Post Office and the best bit, you can even go out for dinner or lunch depending on the day, at the Dunoon Sports Club/ Pub then head back to your secluded country camp and cool off in the beautiful creek or warm up and enjoy some quality time around the camp fire!

The Tweed River Retreat

4 sites · RVs, Tents300 acres · Murwillumbah, Tweed
Nestled in the hills of Uki at the foothills of Mt Warning (Woolumbin) - We are a 300 acre cattle farm with a mixture of grazing land and rainforest. However, everyones favourite part of the property is the flat, manicured campsite where the Door Doon Creek meets the Tweed River. With easy access to Kyogle road this 2 acre campsite offers absolute river frontage, landscaped gardens, fireplaces and enough room to get away from it all. Relax and unwind by the river or explore the many options on your doorstep, including Fishing, Canoeing, Kayaking (plenty of river to paddle, or Clarrie Hall Dam is 900m up the road). There are also many bike and walking tracks literally on your doorstep as well as the Murwillumbah Rail Trail less than 25 mins away. The other HUGE attraction to recently open is the world class UKI MOUNTAIN BIKE PARK (about a 4 min drive). Feel free to ask us for the best local swimming holes, waterfalls, and hiking tracks around the area. PLEASE NOTE: There are public toilets at the village of UKI just 2kms up Kyogle Rd.

The River Orchard

20 sites · RVs, Tents165 acres · Eungella, Tweed
The River Orchard is a majestic 165 acres property nestled between the Oxley River and Mt Warning. The working macadamia farm boasts five campsites each positioned in different nooks with only one group booked in per campsite. Pets and campfires welcome. Hot water shower and compost toilet cleaned several times a day. The Flats Site - The Flats is an extra large site closest to the Oxley River enjoying direct water access with two levels. The first is sheltered by an overhanging sour cherry tree and overlooks the bottom plateau and swimming spot. This site is a short three minute walk to the shower shed. Riverview Site - Riverview is perched on the raised riverbank looking down upon the swimming spot and rapids. A sprawling old tree shelters this extra spacious campsite ideal for large groups. We recommend Riverview for guests with younger children as it does not have direct river access and is the closest to the shower shed. Orchard View - Situated next to the Riverview campsite, this location is close to the river with stunning views across the macadamia orchard. The Grove - The Grove is one of our cosiest sites framed by a towering tree complete with stag horns, with branches that sprawl out over the campsite offering an abundance of shade. Close to the shower shed & a short walk to the river. The Pine Hideaway - This is our most private and stunning site. It looks out over the lotus flower filled dam to mountain panoramas and a secluded island. We look forward to welcoming you.
