30 acres fenced off for Hip camp. other 40 acres fenced off for cattle. 6 private sites on or near sandy creek bed. Lots of bird life and views of the odd cow. Closest hip camp to Dubbo township and Zoo. 5 to 7 kms to Zoo and Town centre. 5 minute drive to the Zoo. 5kms to 27 hole golf course. 3 kms to Delroy Park Shopping centre. Some days you can hear the lions and monkeys from the zoo Lots of Kangaroos on site. Lots of Birdlife ( Eastern Rosellas , Grass Parrots, Willy Wag Tails, Kestrals , Currawongs, Quail , Kookaburras, Magpies , Blue wrens etc). Land was previously a sheep station but nature is slowly reclaiming it. We have been here six years and have seen hundreds of native trees come back through not overgrazing and fencing off bushland. Dry sandy creek bed (good for kids to explore) , except during floods. Lots of shady gumtrees. 2km grassy walk around fence line for those looking to exercise during their stay.

Beautiful cleared safe and peaceful site. We stayed on site 1. Slashed walking track to creek. Our dog loved this walk and it was very cool under the trees by the creek for an Arvo drink after a long travel day. Huge site with a fire pit. Easy access for caravans. Flat site. No over hanging trees. Loved it 🫶

Lovely country camp spot. We arrived late but directions were easy to follow and camp sites easy to access with a 21ft van. A bit of a drive in from the road but all worth it for the peaceful country views and surrounds.

Spent a couple of peaceful nights camped by the river. Matt's map & directions made it super easy to find. We had to place to ourselves and didn't see a sole of the entire stay. Would definitely look to revisit if passing through.

The view over the farmland's and the sunrise were spectacular. Graham was a very good host. I had trouble with my pullout kitchen and Graham came to the rescue with a drill and screw. The other campers were very nice and the area is large enough to spread out. The composting toilets were very clean and no smell at all. The showers, one inside one outside complete with outdoor bathtub were a plus. Nice hot water with good pressure. You are also able to walk the property and not worry about neighbours. Sally was quick to respond to booking and was so accommodating. As we turned up to a 50km/hr wind she offered for us to tuck in behind the shearing shed. Even though we didn't get to experience the back property, we loved the birds and serenity. A little bit of highway noise early evening but ok overnight. Thank you!
