I highly recommend Canoelands Orchard. We had a lovely stay there with another family and some friends. Site 1 is very spacious and provides good privacy. Being able to pick fruits and consume them during a stay is such a unique experience. The kids enjoyed the tractor ride and animal feeding and couldn’t stop talking about it after we got home. The owner Jaime is very nice and same for all the staff on site. We had a great time there and will definitely come back.

Had an amazing time camping at Canoelands! The place is peaceful, clean, and beautifully maintained—perfect for a weekend escape into nature. Host Jaime was super friendly, which made the whole experience even better. One of the highlights was the animal feeding—great fun for both kids and adults. We also got to do some fruit picking, which was a lovely touch and made us feel more connected to the land. Whether you’re after a quiet stay or something more hands-on, this spot has a bit of everything. Highly recommend!

The staff, Jamie and Nathan were incredibly welcoming and very helpful. Whether you’re sitting by the campfire, watching the sunset over the pasture, or just enjoying the quiet, it’s a great spot to slow down and recharge. Perfect for families, couples, or solo travelers looking for a mix of camping and countryside living. Highly recommend!

Stayed one night here. Lovely place, great camp shower built between two rocks Nice couple run it clean drop loos and nice camp sites by the Brook. Road can be a bit noisy but soon quietens down about sunset. I would stay here again.

My favourite place to come back to. There's just something about waking up to the call of lyrebirds and mooing of the cows. Nice big secluded 4wd sites too. Easy check in and campsite instructions as always.

We decided to go the one weekend it was torrential rain. When it wasn’t cloudy, the view was immaculate and it was a beautiful place to wake up to. We were in site 4 and it was so beautiful looking at all the mountains from our spot. They had two of their dogs came up and say hi a few times, They were really sweet and friendly. There were a few other farm animals further down the area as well. It was a really beautiful spot. I would absolutely recommend going on a sunny day when there’s no rain.

What a spot! We had a group of 8 with 4 different camping arrangements a combo of camper trailers, tents and roof top tents. It housed us all perfectly. The public toilet amenities and camp sinks were very handy and tidy. The river is absolutely gorgeous and so clear. We floated and paddle boarded down, slowly walking back up stream. There are a lot of fire spots to choose from however some are very close to each other. We had another group of about 10 about 50m away however they could have come closer if they chose to which wouldn’t have been fun. The sites were clean and in great locations! Phil was so easy to communicate with and the toilets got tidied daily. From what we could see the glamping tents/showers/toilets and cooking facilities that come with them were pretty epic too. Liked how there was recycling and bins on the property. Thanks for a fab stay.

Wollombi Rolling Ridges

Ridgetop views evoke stillness and quiet to enjoy the abundant nature, from lyre birds, black cockatoos, wallabies, wombats, goannas as well as many different bird species depending on the season. Whilst the property is 100 acres, we also border Yengo State Forrest so if you're experienced hikers you can tramp until your hearts content without needing permission to cross private properties. The bushfire regrowth is dense and difficult to travers. so I have cut in a loop walk to a rock ledge lookout (see pics) plus 4km return walk to dry creek bed; with caves, pancake rock platforms, and beautiful old trees. Ideal for those who wish to immerse themselves in pristine nature while being only 1.5 hrs from Newcastle or Wahroonga (start of M1) There are 2 camping pads so if you are a group you can spread out but I want it to be private for each group I host, so if you are only 2 people there won't be any other campers We live simply in a Yurt on solar and rain water, apart from us, you will be the only campers so you are able to enjoy the quiet all to yourselves. (See pic 4 to see distance yurt is from camping pad). Have a 7 mth old Border Collie Cross and training her to be well socialised around other dogs. If you are looking for a party, this is not the place for you. It's the place for stargazers and nature lovers. In the evenings, you won't hear us nor my neighbours so it's only fair that my neighbours don't hear you. No loud music allowed, being a ridge the noise travels and it scares away the wildlife. We're 15mins on dirt tracks from Wollombi village. 2WD vehicle needs high clearance and dry tracks, so check with me first. 4WD and AWD preferable. Dogs love roaming around off leash, if yours is good with recall, as there's no fencing. Children under 5yrs no charge. You may use our composting loo or bring your own camping loo. (see pic 5 and 6) Please be aware only firepit/cooking fire is allowed from 1st October to 31st March. Firepit provided (see pic 7 ) Open bonfires allowed from 1st April to 30th Sept, as per state rules. Regardless of season all fires are Bushfire Rating Dependant. Cut firewood to fit firepit can be purchased, please let me know in advance. Alternatively you can roam around and collect what has fallen on the ground.

We are surrounded by the stunning valley views of Marra Marra National Park. The property is just 7kms from the M1 motorway (take the Morisset exit off the M1) and Morisset just 10kms away with shops and fuel. There is plenty to do in the Morisset area including visiting the pretty Gap Creek Falls in the Watagans National Park or kayaking around beautiful Lake Macquarie, Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake. There are some great areas for hiking, bike riding, bird watching and more. Set on the western foreshore of Lake Macquarie, which has the bush in its backyard. Find a patch of shade for a picnic in Lake Macquarie State Conservation Area where you can spot kangaroos and other wildlife. The saltwater lake is a haven for sea turtles and dolphins and you might see sea eagles and kookaburras, too. Fern Gully is just 1.5 hours drive from Sydney! We look forward to meeting you.

Little River is a private venue so you get the site to your group only. Imagine waking up to the sound of the birds busily going about their day , or spotting many of the wildlife around. Little river is surrounded by pristine bush land with spectacular views of the escarpment . It suits groups for gathering ,parties , weddings , family birthdays or friends get together. There is ample space to bring your own camper or tent , it does have basic cabins available for use . Little River is very private and is bounded by Webbs Creek, which is a tidal water way and great for a swim , bring a kayak or blow up floats and enjoy the serenity. There is space to play music into the evening must cease at midnight. There are beautiful mowed fields for games . We do offer packages including meals for weddings and parties price on application. Little River suits groups of 30 or more the basic pricing is for the minimum of 30. Take the old convict road all the way down to the country pub at st Albans, which is very peaceful for adults but theres also a creek for the kids to play in and newly upgraded playground. Off the convict road there are a few 4wd tracks. Just back from the property you have direct access into the Watagan Mountains, which offers great 4wd tracks, lots of hiking trails, motorbike tracks and even a few waterfalls.

There are only 2 sites available on the property, both away from the main house. One is more suited to tent camping, whilst the other site is in a large open clearing that can accommodate multiple guests and is adjacent to the grass tennis court. Our limited number of campsites means you can enjoy the beauty of nature without being crowded. The property has some eclectic collections scattered around and is frequented by the owners. We encourage you to explore it. There are so many features for active people to enjoy, especially the wet Sclerophyll bush gully. We are pet friendly, but please respect the native kangaroos, koalas, wombats, and amazing bird life. Be self-contained with your own camping toilet/shower, water, and supplies, and enjoy fires in the provided fire pits.
