We have 245 acres with an area of bushland and other lovely areas with scattered trees, plus some open areas.
Currently we have a choice of camping areas for caravans and tents, some nestled in amongst the tree line. Other areas alongside the dam. We keep all the camping areas slashed for safety and to allow easier access to find a suitable camping spot.
We also have a hut available in the bush area. This hut is secluded and has its own outdoor private toilet.
There is no shower, electricity or fresh water available, however we do have a flush toilet at the camping and caravan site. Campers would need to be self-sufficient otherwise.
Please note we don't allow motorbikes, Quads or firearms on the property and there are no exceptions, sorry.
We run sheep on our property and have wildlife such as kangaroos, wombats and echidnas. We also have farm animals such as cows, horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens, geese, and dogs. We have 8 dams, 3 of which have fish as well as yabbies throughout the year.
Fire pits located in designated areas and only to used during non fire ban periods and to be supervised at all times.
We're happy for you to bring your dog however you would be required to keep it under your control or on a leash and away from the sheep.
No motor bikes, quads, firearms permitted and no exceptions.

We offer spacious nature based campsites around our property, some with views of the mountains, bush based, or in grassy cleared sites with dam views.
Please note, to get to some campsites there is a farm track, we recommend 4WD or SUV to access those campsites. but plenty of campsites available for smaller vehicles also.
There are families of kangaroos that live within the property as well as some wild rabbits and hares. Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of wildlife like kookaburras, owls, parrots and ducks.
Plenty more for nature lovers here, including bush walking and bird watching. We are located within 15 mins to Pejar dam for local fishing and kayaking (no motors aloud on the dam).
Just 10 mins into Goulburn CBD for all the local amenities, including supermarkets and boutique shops and galleries. We also have a variety of local playgrounds and parks to wonder like the wetlands for more nature and wildlife walks. For the kids, we have our newly finished aquatic centre with splash park, and two bmx pump tracks and skate parks.
We are located a short 20min drive to "Rambo" the big ram, which is on the list of big things located within Australia. Walk to the top and experience the local sheep industry history as well as shop local produce and giftware.
Located a 20min drive west to the beautiful country towns of Crookwell and Taralga, where you can find country pubs, boutique eateries and shops or why not visit Taralga wildlife park for your up close encounter with some animals.
Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm and protecting our wildlife is priorty.
You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water.
We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you as we dont have a bin service.

Perched on the ridge with spectacular views, our farm promises a true escape.
Located 25 minutes from the beautiful village of Taralga, ours is a spot to unwind.
With a large campsite, you can fit several large tents.
Please note: the ground is quite rocky and hard, so a mattress is highly recommended. And for tent pegs, we recommend steel nail stakes or screw in pegs (auger style). The campsite is on the ridge, so please keep in mind the wind.
When permitted, there’s a great campfire set up with a grill ready to go. Please bring a back up gas cooker in case of fire ban.
There are no toilet facilities or fresh water, so you will need to come prepared.
Access is via a steep dirt road.
At night, the skies are majestic, and the sunrise and sunsets are spectacular.

Taralga is home to the Argyle Inn, pub, general store and more. The famous Laggan Pub is 25 minutes and Crookwell just a bit past that.

Forestvale Farm is a working farm and you are welcome to view whatever activities are happening during your visit, or head out beyond the farm gate to visit the Taralga Zoo, stock up on fresh organic produce grown by our neighbours, dine on hearty pub dinners in town, or fish for trout on the Abercrombie River just up the road.
Campfires are permitted (subject to prevailing bushfire risk conditions) but please speak to your hosts before lighting one. They must be kept contained and at a reasonable size.

Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family.
Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990.
Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food.
If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season.
With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs.
This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow.
The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock.
There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower.
Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use.
We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses.

The morning birdsong and evening are restorative. The sunrises and sunsets amazing.
Far enough away to unwind and relax, close enough to get a caffeine fix if needed!
Coming into summer camp fires are subject to weather conditions and fire warnings.
Campers must be self-contained. Off grid campers, 4wd vehicles with pop ups or tents on ground and RVs can be accommodated. We have a leave only footprints philosophy. All rubbish and waste (human, animal & general) must be taken off property.
Extremely well behaved dogs are welcome. Our birds are free range so dogs need to be feathered friend friendly.

There are 14 designated camping areas to set up your camp, or why not try the revelstone TEPEE TENT adventure, or maybe the TWIN HAMMOCK camp. please do not cut down or use any standing trees even if they look dead as they are a mountain feature.

Located just 10 mins from Goulburn CBD within the picturesque Southern Tablelands area, Wattle Run is a beautiful 100 acre secluded property with plenty of wildlife and spectacular views over the valley into Goulburn.
We offer spacious nature based campsites around our property, some with views of the mountains, bush based, or in grassy cleared sites with dam views.
Please note, to get to some campsites there is a farm track, we recommend 4WD or SUV to access those campsites. but plenty of campsites available for smaller vehicles also.
There are families of kangaroos that live within the property as well as some wild rabbits and hares. Keep your eyes peeled for an abundance of wildlife like kookaburras, owls, parrots and ducks.
Plenty more for nature lovers here, including bush walking and bird watching. We are located within 15 mins to Pejar dam for local fishing and kayaking (no motors aloud on the dam).
Just 10 mins into Goulburn CBD for all the local amenities, including supermarkets and boutique shops and galleries. We also have a variety of local playgrounds and parks to wonder like the wetlands for more nature and wildlife walks. For the kids, we have our newly finished aquatic centre with splash park, and two bmx pump tracks and skate parks.
We are located a short 20min drive to "Rambo" the big ram, which is on the list of big things located within Australia. Walk to the top and experience the local sheep industry history as well as shop local produce and giftware.
Located a 20min drive west to the beautiful country towns of Crookwell and Taralga, where you can find country pubs, boutique eateries and shops or why not visit Taralga wildlife park for your up close encounter with some animals.
Dogs are welcome but must remain on leads at ALL times as this is a working farm and protecting our wildlife is priorty.
You MUST bring your own camping toilet and be COMPLETELY 100% self sufficient with everything including drinking water.
We have a Leave No Trace policy, so ask that you please take all waste with you as we dont have a bin service.

Perched on the ridge with spectacular views, our farm promises a true escape.
Located 25 minutes from the beautiful village of Taralga, ours is a spot to unwind.
With a large campsite, you can fit several large tents.
Please note: the ground is quite rocky and hard, so a mattress is highly recommended. And for tent pegs, we recommend steel nail stakes or screw in pegs (auger style). The campsite is on the ridge, so please keep in mind the wind.
When permitted, there’s a great campfire set up with a grill ready to go. Please bring a back up gas cooker in case of fire ban.
There are no toilet facilities or fresh water, so you will need to come prepared.
Access is via a steep dirt road.
At night, the skies are majestic, and the sunrise and sunsets are spectacular.
Lots of wildlife including kangaroos, wombats, wallabies, owls, eagles, hawks, goats, deer, and the occasional reptile!
Taralga is home to the Argyle Inn, pub, general store and more. The famous Laggan Pub is 25 minutes and Crookwell just a bit past that.
The grass has been cut back for safety.

Fill your days swimming in the creek, exploring the property on foot, on mountain-bike, set up yabbie traps in the dams, or sit back and relax listening to the abundant birdlife that calls Forestvale home and keep your binoculars and camera handy for the visiting wildlife including wombats and kangaroos.
Forestvale Farm is a working farm and you are welcome to view whatever activities are happening during your visit, or head out beyond the farm gate to visit the Taralga Zoo, stock up on fresh organic produce grown by our neighbours, dine on hearty pub dinners in town, or fish for trout on the Abercrombie River just up the road.
Campfires are permitted (subject to prevailing bushfire risk conditions) but please speak to your hosts before lighting one. They must be kept contained and at a reasonable size.
Pets are welcome but must be kept restrained at all times to protect stock and wildlife. Guests will be asked to leave if their dog is not restrained.

Once a much larger property, we purchased our 120-acre (50-hectare) in 1984 as a means to live sustainably and raise a family.
Living in our shed whilst we prepared the garden, installed watering infrastructure, and built our house, which we finally moved into when our daughter was 6 months old in 1990.
Over the ensuing years, we have continued to increase biodiversity on the property and set it up so we can live sustainably, harvesting our own water, electricity, and food.
If you're lucky, you could get a hamper of our product when there is sufficient in season.
With the increased biodiversity, you will find that in the mornings and evenings, kangaroos and wallabies will visit with the occasional echidna, rabbi,t and hare; and to forget the large array of bird life - that may wake you early in the morning with the songs.
This campsite is set on lovely grassy open areas interspersed with gum trees. The sunrise looks spectacular near the dam, when the trees give off a lovely glow.
The main paddock has a Geodome, a shared space for relaxing in. With all that space, you can park and set up camp anywhere in the paddock.
There is access to drinking water, toilets, and a hot shower.
Around the dome is a fire pit, drinking water, and a camp kitchen. The fire pit features an Argentinian BBQ and a plate for cooking. The kitchen has plates, cups, cutlery, and other bits and pieces for you to use.
We also allow your pets to stay on-site; this includes horses.

This Hipcamp is breathtaking!
I stayed at ‘across the creek’ which was a large paddock which the horses roam through.
The horses are a highlight and very friendly all with a different personality.
There is a dam with 2 kayaks available to use!
The location is great for exploring the Southern Highlands region!
Host is very helpful and responsive! I will definitely be back many times!

I usually stay at camp site 1. Site 3 has a few level spots that site 1 does not have but is much harder ground so if your are a tent camper stakes in the ground is something to consider. Overall any site at Coots Creek will serve you well.

We had a great stay at the sunset site. Lovely and remote but still had facilities and close enough to all the local towns. Our boxer boy loved the freedom on the site too. Leanne was great, even when we couldn’t find the site late at night and in the dark! Looking forward to a return.

We had a great time staying at this camp. The river is beautiful for swimming and relaxing and we enjoyed exploring it. Having the property to ourselves was amazing and the shed was a great bonus when the weather turned. We had a great stay at the Joadja Gorge site last weekend. So much space and great set up with fire, log bench and some wood ready to burn. It was very private and peaceful, with all of the sites carefully spaced out in different areas.
