Controlled dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a leash at all times. There is no mobile service or Wi-Fi. We are 50 kms from a corner store/service station, so don't leave yourselves short. 'La Paloma' is a farm located 15 minutes from the township of Cowra and Wyangala Dam. La Paloma boasts spectacular views down the valley and of surrounding granite hills. We offer a 3 bedroom cottage, glamping tent and camping, powered and unpowered. Take a walk up the hill to take in the gorgeous scenery and watch the breath-taking sunrises and sunsets! Say hi to our resident sheep! We have two flocks of gorgeous sheep enjoying the delicious pastures. There is lots of native bird life to see here, with Superb Parrots, Blue Wrens, Cockatoos, Rosellas, Wedge Tail Eagles and of course, Doves (hence the property name, La Paloma). Wake up to see the mob of kangaroos bounding up the hill. Make sure to pop over to Wyangala Dam (14 min) for a fish or take part in some watersports. Or even head down the road to Elliotts Lookout over the Dam for some incredible views! We can even provide under cover boat storage if you want to bring your boat with you for some fun on the lake! In spring, enjoy the beautiful blossoming fruit trees. You can even visit Sakura Matsuri, the Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in Cowra late September! Year round, enjoy the tranquillity and landscapes of the Japanese Gardens and Cultural Centre in Cowra (14 min). The gardens act as a monument of peace and reconciliation between two countries after the largest Prisoner Of War breakout in modern military history. Cowra's rich history can be explored at the Cowra POW Campsite and various other historical sites around town. Make sure to end your night around a great campfire! We have a designated campfire area and complimentary firewood in a wood shed close by. Roast some marshmallows and take in the starry night sky. Property has a gorgeous brand new stand-alone bathroom building with 2 toilets, a hot water shower and sink. Please keep this clean and tidy. There are cleaning products under the sink as we cannot always be there to keep it clean. There is also an undercover table for use in the shearing shed but please BYO chairs. Please take all rubbish with you. Please make sure to follow COVID-19 guidelines by washing and sanitising hands especially when using shared areas. Pick a camp site in the middle aisle around the sheds, bathroom block and driveway OR in our top hill paddock (if gates are open) to take in the views. You are welcome to camp anywhere in the paddock - please note these sites are only accessible on foot, please do not drive into the paddock. No fires in the paddock please, there is a communal campfire spot available. We can accommodate RVs on the granite parking pads near the bathroom block. There is a power pole close by to plug in to. Note the ground off the driveway and parking pads can get very wet and boggy so to avoid getting bogged please try to stick to the driveway as much as possible.

Owned and run by our family for over 20 years. We have loved the farm so much we decided others should get to experience it too and let them get out and take in the peace and serenity of being in nature. We offer 6 spacious campsites as well as a self sufficient cabin overlooking stunning sunset views to the west of our property. We also have communal flushable toilets for our campers. Escape the busy city life and come light a campfire and watch the sunrise and sunset and enjoy the amazing views and wildlife and keep an eye out for koalas in the trees. Bathurst is known for motorsports thanks to Mount Panorama, one of the world’s most famous circuits. It hosts a number of international racing events, including the Bathurst 12 Hour and the Bathurst 1000. When it's not being used for a race, the public can take a spin around the course. Visit the National Motor Racing Museum, right next to the track. The Australian Fossil and Mineral Museum boasts a Tyrannosaurus Rex skeleton and the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery is home to a wonderful collection of Australian paintings and contemporary artworks. Spend the day in Bathurst by seeing many of the amazing sites including the famous Ben Chiffley Dam and spend the day on the water and even a short drive to Rockley to visit the famous pub now owned by Matt Moran. 16 Ha of grapevines on 40 Ha of land. We also have a cherry orchard so people can pick their own cherries in December. We have stunning views, dedicated sites that can be powered, close to the amenities in the winery or very isolated. We also make some fantastic wine. Close by is the Orange Mountain Bike Club with dedicated downhill trails and events year-round. We are just next to the Lonely Mountain Ultra which runs in October. Mount and Lake Canobolas offer wonderful walk, swims, paddles and fishing. The region has incredible produce, restaurants and wineries.

Borenore Billabong Field Days site

The 130 acres site hosts Agricultural events during the year. It is also run as a working farm and has grassed areas and power sites with access to showers, toilets and a dump point. The grassed area overlooks a Billabong with trees and wildlife with a background to Mount Canobolas. The site is in closer proximity to Vineyards and Cellar Doors.

Ben Hall Creek Camp

Come and camp on the banks of a creek, where the bushranger Ben Hall used to camp with his horses in the mid 1800s! The property is located smack bang in the middle of Young, Forbes, West Wylong and Cowra - taking about an hour to drive to each. The is plenty to do and see in the area, including exploring the nearby Weddin Mountains National Park and Bimbi State Forest. Just 20 minute North is the quaint town of Grenfell. Tucked into the beautiful Lachlan Valley, Grenfell is a fascinating gold rush town with great galleries, historic buildings and superb country pubs. There are also many events celebrating the town’s rich history and culture. Campers will enjoy flat, grassy sites on this 20 acre block. The creek is suitable for swimming, fishing, gabbling and paddling, and is quite wide in spots. This campsite suits self contained campers, who bring their own facilities and leave no trace. The access is via a dirt road (easy drive). You're welcome to bring your dog.

The Orchard

Our property is situated on a working apple and cherry orchard at the base of Mount Canobolas, 10 minute drive from Orange. The region has much to offer including amazing wineries and cellar doors, quaint villages with artisans shops, hot air balloon rides, waterfalls, the Arch Cave and more. Here at The Orchard visitors are welcome to pick their own fruit in season, at a cost. Please speak to your host if you are interested. There are plenty of local food and wine venues in the surrounding area for you to enjoy. Lake Canobolas is close by for swimming and there are a number of walking/ hiking trails in the beautiful Mount Canobolas National Park. Pets are welcome but we do have livestock on the property to please keep them under control. Campfires are allowed as long as there are no fire restrictions in place. Amenities are available for campers. A shower and toilets are also available to campers.
