In December Young celebrates the National Cherry Festival, where you will find live music, a parade, fireworks and of course lots and lots of freshly picked, plump cherries. The region also has many vineyards and food providores as well as museums and some great historical sites. Our property is located a short distance out of town for all your shopping needs. Around 200 handraised and tame animals and 200 birds. We are the largest and oldest Miniature Goat Stud in NSW.....all year round we have baby goats, turkeys, horses, cows, sheep...all hand raised and friendly. We often have babies on bottles and goats to milk and generally, the farm is a wonderful place to be for those who love animals. The State Forest that surrounds our farm is a wonderful experience for bushwalking and the views are outstanding with spectacular sunrises and sunsets to admire. There are endless amounts of native birds, kangaroos and wallabies to view and sometimes we see a local echidna or wombat. We provide a peaceful farm with loving animals who love human attention. Toilets and showers available. Sorry NO Dogs are permitted. Campfires permitted when restrictions aren't in place. Firewood available to purchase per night load, delivered to your site.

Weekend Trip to Young Country Getaway
Young Country Getaway was an amazing property. You want beautiful bush views? It’s got it. Amazing sunsets? We saw them. You need peace and quiet? It’s here Did you say close to town but far enough out? Uh, right here. What about gorgeous ducks, Geese and a stunning peacock? Look no further. A spacious well kept rural property? Young Country Getaway is the answer We loved it and will be back for sure. Directions on how to get to Young country getaway from Mary were simple and we found it easy to find. Mary was very communicative. Best camp ever!

We absolutely loved our night at the farm stay. We were shown around and made to feel very welcome. There were baby goats for the children to bottle feed, miniature ponies and a cow plus deer and many more animals. The amenities were clean and everything was very comfortable. We will be back!

The campsite in the olive grove was excellent, plenty of space and the facilities enough to make for an easy, relaxing, and peaceful stay. I had three nights and enjoyed the birdlife, clear night skies, and the cellar door close by. The hot shower, gas cooker and fridge made the camping so easy it is a great place for a quick getaway.

A top spot! Beautiful campsite overlooking the river, nicely mowed with great instructions to get to site. Patrick was a great host, great communication and helpful info about the local area. Would come back to this spot again. Recommend if you are looking for a quiet spot to yourself.

What an awesome place to stay. We spent 2 nites and were the only ones there. Very easy to understand directions. So many birds. Loved watching the lambs frolicking around. Vince was so helpful. Loved meeting Diesel the dog.

Loved this stay. Big green mowed grassy area including a large pond. We enjoyed the campfire, and watching the various birds, horses, sheep, and the ram. Set in a beautiful location. The property almost feels like living in a fairytale.

Amazing experience. Janelle and David do a great job keeping the property in shape and the animals happy and friendly. I would recommend this camping spot to anyone. So so many goats, sheep and birds as well as a few deers, donkies, cows and ponies.

Great location for solo or group camping. Stone's throw from the winery cellar door. We recommend getting a cheese platter with your tasting, fantastic experience! Really lovely and helpful hosts. Camp kitchen is well equipped for making food, with some basics to help out. Beautiful olive grove to explore. Plenty of wood for the fire. Awesome tree house for bigger kids.

Arrived after dark and left just after first light but from what I could see, the property was located in a beautiful area. Sharna was extremely welcoming and an amazing host, checking up on me which I truly appreciated as I was travelling solo. Definitely recommend staying at this Hipcamp and exploring this little part of Australian countryside, tucked in next to the Nangar National Park

Best experience camping by far!! Annette went out of her way to help my friends and I set up our tent, provided us a fire pit as well as fire wood and made us feel so welcome! Such a kind and friendly host and even introduced us to all of her pets such as the dogs and the cows!!!
