Talgong is a 3rd generation red dirt farming property 25 mins drive from the Cairn in The Geographical Centre of NSW. Working sheep and cattle farm with seasonal cereal crops, and farm tours available on request. We are offering secluded camping areas for self-contained campers, in sheltered scrub protected from winter winds. Plenty of native wildlife to view, perfect for birdwatching with many parrot species in the area. Spring camping offers wildflower experience (most seasons except in extreme drought). There is ample firewood available for self-collection (no fires in summer fire ban season). Roads to here are dirt & occasionally maintained by the council, so whilst you can access the property with 2WD, care needs to be taken traveling. A seasonal note, 4WD access only due to flooding & flood damage roads. please contact us for current road access information No dogs. Also, strictly No Hunting permitted.

53km from Tumbalong State Conservation Area · 1 site · Lodging · Narromine, NSW
Plenty of room for family or flying-club fun, or bring a book, chill and cook beautiful dinners in quiet surrounds. At this beautifully restored farmhouse you can walk through cotton and wheat fields with kangaroos, wallabies and a rich birdlife.. For city stargazers the Milky Way is unforgettable. Our free range chickens will be very happy to share some eggs for your breakfast too. This is a large, lovely renovated old farmhouse. Inside we've kept it simple; with a large kitchen and BBQ for cooking, and a beautiful wooden table that seats 10. Snuggle down in front of the fireplace in winter and enjoy the shady garden and big backyard in summer. There are 2 sets of bunk beds in one room, a queen in the main bedroom and a double with a single bunk over the top for any family with young children. For those flying in the 1000m dirt airstrip is just 100m walk from the house. Pets are allowed, but please keep them outside or in the laundry & hat room (outside the laundry). We are 25 mins from the closest town - Narromine. Please only use the number of beds you’ve booked or there is extra charges. Registration number PID-STRA-37422
