To the northwest lies Goobang National Park that includes Caloma lookout, one of the high points in the Wanda Wandong sector of Goobang National Park. The area is a bird watchers' paradise - you can often spot birds of prey, such as wedge-tailed eagles, brown goshawks and brown falcons, soaring across the sky. Black cypress pines, grevilleas, lomandras and heath feature commonly on the landscape. There are many tall grass trees in this area too, some of which are believed to be hundreds of years old. This is a large property that is taking a break from sheep farming. Covered in gum trees and pines and lots of open space. The property has a creek with all year round water holes and dams. You can do almost anything you want. Hiking, fishing, swimming, camping and living the dream. There's emus (bush chooks), kangaroos (hopping dogs), platypus and no drop bears, meaning you can sit back, relax and go back to the way it was. Self sufficient campers only, leave no trace. SLEEPING A four-post queen bed and an additional built in nook with a queen bed, allowing for an extra two guests. Sleep in comfort to the sounds of nature cocooned in luxurious 1000-thread-count Egyptian cotton Sheraton sheets and fluffy down duvets. You’ll find woollen blankets to keep your warm if the wind picks up. EATING The Tent comes equipped with a small kitchen. Prepare, cook or heat meals with all the utensils you need at hand. There is a BBQ on the deck to cook local meats and veggies. LIVING In the Tent you will find a Lounge, lamps, books, boardgames and a dining table. Take a seat or lay in the bath on the deck enjoying the expansive views over a glass of champagne, watch the sun set or rise. Enjoy a moment, unhurried. So that you can take in your natural surrounds we haven’t included TV or Wifi, minimising screen time as much as possible during your stay. However, there is phone reception so you are not completely isolated. TOILETRIES We have provided organic shampoo, conditioner and soaps for your use and sheraton towelling for complete softness. Fiona and John were great and Travellers Rest was such a quiet and peaceful stay. We were met on arrival with such a friendly vib and nothing was too much trouble. We spent the weekend at Wilson’s Flat campsite and it was perfect! Directions to the property were very easy to follow. We definitely came at the right time, plenty of water in the creek to dip your toes in or make a splash in the deep parts, green grass for as far as you could see. Campsite nestled along the creek surrounded by rolling hills, the views were absolutely stunning. What stood out was how well maintained everything was. The toilet was well looked after and stocked with everything you needed, bins were provided, great campfire, a map to the property if you wanted to explore or hike. Generous spacing between campsites you were in your own little oasis! From the very beginning everything was easy, well thought out and cannot fault anything. Thankyou Jen and John for a wonderful stay, we will be back again!!

Weekend Trip to Boorowa Hipcamp - Wombles Common

Another great stay at Boorowa Wombles Common. The area was clean mown and right on the river. Love the addition of a firepit. The adjoining pathway was great to take into town both walking and bike riding. We enjoyed watching the sheep wander around the paddock and the creeky windmill across the river gave that real country feel not forgetting the view of beautiful sunsets and sunrise. Easy to find location although our 19ft van is possibly maximum size to get through the main gate. We even managed to catch a rather large carp on the first night. Will come back again

We loved our stay at Redlands. Jen and John are super friendly and helpful. We had a great location on the property and we were able to explore all the paddocks. It was generally quiet and peaceful. Our kids enjoyed riding around and the sheep shearing demonstration. I would highly recommend staying at Redlands. There are many different sites to suit everyone, remote or closer to the homestead depending what you like.

Our site was at philaris pdk site 4 but we did our camping near our shearing shed. It’s quite far from Sydney around 280 km but it was worth it. Peaceful place. Clean toilets, water available. If you are going from Sydney book for 2 days. John and Jennifer are good.

An absolutely STUNNING place, and can’t recommend it enough. Our site was a huge, clean, private site, beside a beautiful creek. Lots of great site choices. Plenty of room to set up and communication before stay was clear and made it an easy arrival. An amazing property to explore, with breathtaking views high above the campground and being a working sheep farm added to the adventure, with lots of ways to get involved. John and Jen were the perfect hosts, friendly, helpful and made our stay so memorable. Thank you so much, we all had an awesome time and appreciate what you have created. We are excited to return for another great stay as soon as we can. This Hipcamp is AWESOME!!!!

We had a great stay at Redland Camp. Jen was super friendly and helpful. ShLovely Stay and Great Hoste came by in the morning to check in on us and even helped us move to a closer site when she noticed site 4 was a bit far from the toilet. The place is peaceful and well maintained, and we really appreciated the personal touch and care. Definitely recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.
