We camped in a camper trailer and thoroughly enjoyed the beautifully kept grounds and very comfortable bathroom. The creek and wood fire barbecue were also highlights (however i had to spend 45 minutes cleaning the barbecue before we could use it). One thing I would warn future travellers (and we spoke with the camp hosts) but if travelling to Oasis from Dorrigo - DO NOT trust google maps “fastest” route along Corfes road. Corfes road is impassible (its been gated off but we were told by camp owners its barely walkable for at least the last few years). We hope the hosts make this information available to other guests if they have the done so already. If travelling from Dorrigo or inland region you need to go the less direct way via Coramba.

This was a brilliant spot. I stayed just the one night on my way up the coast. Enjoyed hanging out with the wallabies in the rain :) It was really convenient to the highway, but far enough away that there wasn't road noise.

Weekend Trip to Anchorage Park

Absolute river frontage makes Anchorage Park a stunning venue. You can hold your fishing rod at the camp table. Dog friendly is a must for us. The river was a bit cloudy due to rain last week but the fish life was plentiful. If all sites were full it could be a bit crowded, but there is plenty of room. Very nice grassy site. Thanks Troy and Angela.

Very nice and quiet spot, easy access from the road as well. The signs made it super easy to find even at night. Really enjoyed our night there and would definitely come back.

We had an absolutely amazing time at Oasis of Hope! The campsite is stunning—peaceful, beautifully maintained, and surrounded by nature. The amenities were excellent, and there was so much to explore in the area. We especially loved the creek walk and swimming holes—they were a real highlight. The host was incredibly communicative and helpful throughout our stay. We couldn’t recommend this place more highly and will definitely be coming back!

There is also a river just down the road at the bottom of the property you can swim, kayak or fish. We get bass in the river, so if fresh fish for dinner is your kind of thing you will love it. The place is a little wild, and we like it like that. That being said you may be sharing with snakes and spiders occasionally, so keep an eye out and zip up your tents and close doors. Keep aware in the warmer summer months and make noise when you are bushwalking. We also have some neighbour cows that like to come and hang out on the land. They are friendly, so if you see them moving about, feel free to say hi. Here you feel like you are a million miles away from the world when in reality you are just a short 15 minutes from the cute country town of Macksville with an epic pub meal and essential items you need to stock up for a few days. It’s 5 minutes to the Taylors Arm River where you can swim and kayak and a 15 minute drive from Taylors Arm and the iconic ‘Pub With No Beer’ (they have plenty of beer). A little further east, a short 30 minute scenic country drive will end you up on some of the mid-north coasts most stunning coastlines and beaches including Scott’s Head, Grassy Head, Nambucca Beach, and Valla Beach all renowned for epic surfing spots and cute cafes. A longer drive of 50 minutes north, straight up the highway will get you to Coffs Harbour and 60 minutes south to Port Macquarie. From vertiginous sandstone cliffs on which epipetrics cling tight, right through to palm-filled rainforests, and with two quite different creek systems (including a monster waterfall), you'll be spoiled for things to do and places to explore - without even leaving the property! HISTORY This land is Gumbaynggirr land. Please be particularly mindful of our First Nation's long presence on this land. In the 1800's, white men came seeking Red Cedar, closely followed by settlers having a go at dairying; though logging has remained this area's mainstay. This special property, despite last being selectively logged about 50 years ago, hosts many huge old-growth trees remaining steadfast for your discovery and wonder. And many more are continuing to grow out too. About 35 years ago about nine of this property's eastern-most 104 acres became part of a far larger nashi pear orchard which filled much of the flats of this top end of the valley that you see today. Ultimately they failed to set good commercial fruit, and the rootstocks took over. You can see remnant rows of these trees just south of the property, from along the road. (Beware though - they have spikes that could puncture Caterpillar tracks!) MORE RECENTLY extensive lantana control efforts have been undertaken as we now move into revegetating with native species and implementing a permaculture plan. Today the property is registered with Land For Wildlife and hosts a very wide mix of native vegetation communities. ACTIVITIES Bird watch. Climb. Abseil. Photograph wildflowers. Paint. Swim. We have two beautiful dams that are great for kayaking and swimming, and creek frontage where you can fish. Beautiful views of Yarrahapinni Mountain to the east and hills out to the west. There are 40 acres of bushland to go walkabout. Geese and ducks free range the property and feeding time visits can be arranged. We are just 1.5km of single track gravel road to the Pacific Highway with good access for all types of vehicles. There is a choice of private campsites either by the dam or the creek with no other campers in sight! We also have a multi site area at the Woodland Ridgetop with a camp kitchen, compost toilets and showers. This will be available to be booked as a large group area or as 3 individual sites. We're located 20 minutes from Nambucca Heads as well as Scotts Heads beaches, and 30 minutes from Taylors Arm. A quick trip up into the foothills will take you to some great 4WD and mountain biking tracks, or you can explore the region and visit the historical Pub With No Beer. You need to be a self-contained camper with your own camping toilet/shower. There is access to drinking water, a picnic table and rubbish facilities. We recommend 4WDs to access the campsite and the river but 2WDs are ok. Your pet is welcome to camp with you.

For the convenience of our guests, our Family Orientated Amenities block features 10 suites with hair dryers disabled shower, baby room, men’s room, guest laundry and a filtered water bottle station. We have a dump point located onsite with easy access. Bring your boat and your fishing rod along, and enjoy the magical sunrises and sunsets of the serene Bellinger River, right from your site. Pet Policy: Pets must be kept on a lead (retractable lead locked at no more than 1.5 metres) at all times and either retained by hand by an adult or tied up within your camp site.
