Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee.
Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.
Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent.
Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.
Campers & Day Trippers Rules:
The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
It must be taken with you!
The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in
fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the
creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem!
Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set
up on top of other campers.
Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.
Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all
times.
No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users.
No antisocial behavior.
No camping on creek banks.
No playing around toilet block area.
No livestock to be kept on the park.
No cutting down trees.
No person to travel in the load area of vehicles.
No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between
your campsite and the road.
No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones
or fireworks allowed in the park.
No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek.
No washing dishes or clothing in creek.
No hitting of Golf balls.
No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok).
No swings to be tied to trees.
Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance
will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for
trespassing.
Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use
of the park.

Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.
Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace.

Pets are welcome but must be kept under control.
Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place.
Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase.
Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.

Andrew Drynan Park is situated on Running Creek, 47 km south of Beaudesert and 19 km from Rathdowney on the Lions Road. The drive from Brisbane will take a couple of hours. It has an impressive backdrop formed by Mt Chinghee.
Running Creek is a lovely flowing creek which is very inviting in summer and the park offers a great bush camp.
Toilets, BBQs, picnic tables and swimming. BYO drinking water. Pets to be restrained. No showers—a dip in the creek will keep you clean but please don’t use soap or detergent.
Directions: At Rathdowney, turn left into Running Creek Rd and travel approximately 17km south east.

The Park is for everyone to enjoy, so please adhere to a few simple
guidelines while enjoying this beautiful park.
By using this park you agree to the following rules.
All vehicles entering the park must observe 10 Km per hour speed
limit.
Fires must be extinguished prior to departure.
Park users must clean up their area when leaving, by taking all
rubbish, including food scraps and disposable nappies with them, so
the next users can enjoy the Park as well. Do not burn your rubbish.
It must be taken with you!
The disposal of nappies in the grass around the waterline, and in
fire pits, is a serious risk to human health, the health of the
creek, surrounding stock and the ecosystem!
Please be respectful of other camper’s space & privacy! Do not set
up on top of other campers.
Generator use is restricted to 4 hours per day between the hours of
2pm to 6pm.
Dogs must be on short leads and confined to your campsite at all
times.
No music or noise after 10pm, noise level must at all times be at an acceptable level so as not to disturb other users.
No antisocial behavior.
No camping on creek banks.
No playing around toilet block area.
No livestock to be kept on the park.
No cutting down trees.
No person to travel in the load area of vehicles.
No motorcycles other than on the formed roads or when moving between
your campsite and the road.
No stock whips, firearms or weapons of any sort, chainsaws, drones
or fireworks allowed in the park.
No use of detergents, soaps or shampoos in creek.
No washing dishes or clothing in creek.
No hitting of Golf balls.
No cricket with cricket ball (tennis ball ok).
No swings to be tied to trees.
Anyone who is non-compliant may be directed by park management to leave the park and if so must leave without delay. Non-compliance
will be referred to local Police and you may face legal action for
trespassing.
Park management reserves the right to refuse anyone entry to and use
of the park.

Don’t forget to pop into the Uki Trading Post (Bastion Lane) for the Best coffee in Australia. The Mt Warning Hotel situated in Uki Village also offers all meals as takeaways and a complementary curtesy bus running from Friday 5PM through to Sunday. Stock up on supplies at the village General Store.
Pet welcome on leash and under control. Campfires are permitted within local regulations.
We do have a bathtub’s on four sites. Campers should leave no trace.

Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase.

Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away.

The river was a highlight. The water was beautiful and clean, and the temperature was perfect. Nice and cool for the hot summer days, but not too chilly that it was uncomfortable. The mix of shaded and sunlight water was also great to allow swimming without the risk of sunburn if you were smart about it. Still many sunburns were spotted.
The location was large, with plenty of options for camping spots, we chose the top of the hills in the trees. So we had plenty of shade, got to see several lace monitors, and a gorgeous carpet python, just keep watch for the bulldog ants, their bites are nasty, but short lived.
The toilets were well kept and well stocked, and Barry was there regularly to make sure they were kept tidy. He was a lovely casual kind of fella to deal with, which also made the stay pleasant and stress free.
To top it off, the drive there and back was beautiful. I'm keen to make this a regular visit.

3 nights at Andrew Drynan Park-Camp with a view
Pretty cool spot nestled in between a mountain. Water holl is pretty sweet after some rain too. However the majority of the camping site is on a slope down a hill. Some might not care about this but if u have a swag or a caravan it can be quite annoying. Keep that in to consideration when setting up awnings too.

We had the most amazing stay at Misty Mountain in NSW booked through the HiCamp app. The mountain views were absolutely incredible, with stunning sunsets every evening that never got old. The property is beautifully set up with access to water, a dishwashing area, clean toilets and showers, plus fun extras like a ping pong table and pool table.
There are so many grassy and forested areas to explore, which made it perfect for camping with our staffy cross. She absolutely loved being able to run around off lead and explore the surroundings. There are also plenty of beautiful beaches and great cafe spots nearby, all within about 20 minutes, which made day trips super easy.
Falling asleep to the sounds of birds and wildlife was such a highlight. It really felt like being immersed in nature while still having access to basic amenities that made the stay comfortable and relaxing. We couldn’t recommend Misty Mountain more and will definitely be back.

We had a fabulous stay at McKenzie's Mountain. James and Greg were great hosts. Initially planned to stay for 3 nights and decided to add on another two nights. Had a huge area to ourselves right near the river which was so refreshing to cool off. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Amazing spot right on the Clarence river. Try to get site 3 right by the water. Showers hot and good pressure and clean. Only 2 each unisex showers and toilets but maintained well and never busy. Bob is very friendly and welcoming - and happy to have a yarn with you. Kid and dog friendly, with lots of wildlife - blue wrens, water monitors, egrets, and jumping fish! Only downside is some noise from the highway just next to the campsite but everything else outweighs this! Pool was a lovely bonus for a dip on a hot day. If you are in the area or passing by - def stop for a night or two!

We had a lovely 5 day family camping trip at Eagle Ridge Bush Retreat. The setting is very peaceful and although there are others camping we felt like we had this amazing space to ourselves, the campsites are very spacious and private.
The highlight for us was swimming in the beautiful fresh clear river, riding the rapids on the floaties was a huge hit.
The hosts Dan and Kirsty are amazing, great communication right from booking. It was lovely meeting you Kirsty.. you have an amazing spot!
Thanks for having us guys, I want to come back already.

We loved staying at Eagle Reach and will be back again for certain! This area was so secluded and pretty. Being able to have our dogs off lead was fantastic and they loved exploring and playing in the river. The water was incredibly clear and we were even snorkelling at one stage: spotting huge catfish and a tonne of baby bass. The road down was a heap of fun. Not too rough but just enough to warrant a 4WD, particularly in the wet. We would love to come back and camp here again.

The campsite is well situated and is a really beautiful spot surrounded by nature.
The sites are huge and group camping works really well here.
The creek is great for swimming, kayaking and paddle boarding.
The only downside are the portaloos that are not flushable. This means the waste builds up and they become quite smelly before they are emptied. It would be better if they were flushable or changed to long drops with saw dust as it is quite unhygienic.
