Backing onto McPhersons forest, our campsites are ideally located within a short treck or bike ride into the forest.
The forest has a beautiful creek and waterfall, perfect for a day trip.
The property is conveniently located 1 hour from Sydney and just a 2 minute drive to groceries, food and a pharmacy and 7 minutes from the pub and a doctor.
A 30 minutes form town and close to attractions such as Glenworth Valley and Walkabout Wildlife Sanctuary. Also Markets every 2nd and 4th Weekend.
The site currently does not have toilets or electrical facilities, but something we are working on. So please bring your own toilet and take with you.

Our property is located in the Blue Mountains, nestled right in the middle of the national park and all that the Blue Mountains bush has to offer. Gums, ferns, fresh air and swimming holes.
I only allow one group to camp at any one time per site. Other groups will be well away from you. However the dam is available for everyone to use. I adjust each booking with each group depending on size of the group and time of year. I also hold large events so will book out the entire site for large groups.
Just a short drive from Sydney but a world away with its ancient forests and meandering pathways. All photos are from the site or within a 2km walk of the camping site in National Park or reserve. Please note that the canyon photos are from a spot that is very difficult to get to.
I welcome self-contained campers with your own camping toilet/shower, and drinking water. However there are facilities on site for smaller groups at an extra cost.
The property offers a number of sites that can accommodate various group numbers. Please message me if you're interested in booking one or more listings for your special get together.
Dogs are welcome as long as they are friendly, but no cats please. Also please be aware that we are surrounded by nature and part of nature are snakes and ticks.

Please be aware that due to our proximity to the road and rail that at times you will hear some traffic noise. But most times it is very quiet except for the frogs.

The Hartley Vale Garlic Farm was established in 2018 as an organic garlic farm now owned by James and Michelle and their two children. The farm features a hempcrete building named 'The Stinking Rose' used for drying and curing garlic, that also acts as a big room for garlic feasts during planting (March, April and May each year). The building also houses toilet and shower facilities for guests when camping on site. On some evenings, the sky puts on a real show of golden sun rays with pink, purple and blue clouds while swallows flit across the garden beds catching moths. Our guests like to sit around their campfires watching the spectacular show while kids and dogs run around without the burden of leashes or noise of city traffic.

We had the best stay at Myrtle Ridge!! The site is beautiful with plenty of space, you are quite secluded from the other campers which is brilliant. Toilets are clean. Alana was a fantastic host, we really enjoyed chatting with her and she was very accommodating and helpful. Will look forward to coming back!

First time in 15 years we had a family holiday camping. It’s was a bit of a surprise finding the little hidden gem not far from home, but far enough to enjoy each other’s company a not be on our phones.. Friendly, happy host Alana. Quiet spot with plenty of room. Clean bathrooms, able to play footy, and use the new rc car toy, while running around with the puppy. Close to shops when we needed them, went to wollombi for a nice easy drive. Loved it.

This is such a beautiful and precious hip camp. The people that run the farm are so lovely and very accomodating. They do tours on weekends and take you to their animals. /teach you about the farm and its history.
There is a really lovely waterfall and walk and the orchards are beautiful to walk around with tasteful oranges!
The funds raised from the hip camp goes to the Rotary charity in many countries it is a very cool concept.
We would highly recommend checking this out!

Great base camp to explore area. Fantastic views and sunsets. Michelle is very helpful and accommodating. The two dogs Daisy and Stephen are beautiful and great entertainment as was their little helper Oscar who was very informative and great to have a chat to.

Bev and her husband were so welcoming and lovely and the sites were well kept, beautiful and with excellent facilities like a shower, super clean toilet and a sink to do your washing up. We were super thrilled with being able to bring our dog with us,, who was also made to feel really welcome! The place is really well situated also with loads of beaches, cafes, and other activities all with in a 10-30 minute drive. We will absolutely be back again!

Lovely place. Very scenic and peaceful. Would benefit from toilet upgrade. We almost cooked inside the tin shed with the warm weather. No escape from warm weather with not being allowed in the water and not much shade. Caretaker was lovely. Kids loved the animals being around to say hello to. Would go back but maybe not in summer.

Had an awesome time camping in a large group at Bonnie Doon. The dam was great for non stop entertainment for young and old. Matthew was a very flexible and approachable host. Was a great base camp for climbing and canyoning over the weekend. Would highly recommend.

What a spot! Stunning views from the top of the mountain, rolling national park and sparkling stars. Brilliant spot to escape the city and relax in paradise. The hosts are great, with amazing communication throughout. Could not recommend this place more. Cheers for having us!
