Haystack Ranch

8 sites · RVs, Tents500 acres · Spray, OR
My family has owned the ranch since 1977. We bought it from my parents a few years ago to keep it in the family. We love living here, and although it is just the two of us working it, we are slowly getting it to what we want it to be. The house we live in is over 100 years old and used to be a stage coach stop back in the late 1800's to early 1900's, You can still see some of the old stage coach roads on the property, and we are trying to preserve those the best we can. Also in the early 1900's this ranch used to be the place to go on the fourth of July. People from all over would bring their prize horses to compete in a horse race for the name of the fastest horses around While others would bring picnic baskets to set back on the knoll in one of our fields to watch. Learn more about this land:We are a 500 Acre working ranch located in Beautiful East Central Oregon, We are Between The stunning Painted Hills, and Umatilla National Forest. Just a few miles away from the Gorgeous John Day River, where Rafting, Tubing, Fishing, Swimming is always a welcome retreat. A few miles above us is Bull Prairie Lake and the wonderful Umatilla National Forest where hiking, sight seeing and wildlife viewing is always available.

Antelope Market Camping

5 sites · RVs, Tents2 acres · Antelope, OR
We are located in the heart of Antelope, a rural (near) Ghost town that is rich in history and culture. This particular property is currently being cleaned up and revitalized. We would like to open it up to dry camping only at this time as we are already seeing a huge influx of cyclists and motorcycles in the area and they have no place to camp. This is dry camping only until the facilities are improved. There is porta potty onsite next to the old Rajneesh bath house (Red and white building). In the image any spot that you can find in the near 2 acres of grass highlighted in orange is the designated areas.

Sliger Overlook

1 site · RV, Tent32 acres · Prineville, OR
We are located on 32 forested acres, 10 miles north of Prineville and 1 mile from the Ochoco National Forest entrance. We are a south facing hillside lot that looks south down a farmland valley towards Prineville. The Ochocos encompasses 850,000 acres (3,440 km2) of rimrock, canyons, geologic oddities, dense pine forests, and high desert terrain, as well as the headwaters of the North Fork Crooked River. Our property has a 14 foot tall RV cover with picnic table and fire pit (when fires are allowed). The RV area has water and electrical hook up. An overlook area with amazing sunrise and sunset views is adjacent. We cater to outdoor enthusiasts that are visiting for hiking, fishing, hunting, and other outdoor activities. We have pet dogs, donkeys, goats and kitties so we ask that guests are pet free when they visit.

Desert Rose Private Campground

3 sites · Lodging2 acres · Prineville, OR
Welcome to our family's Private Campground - The Desert Rose. A boondocking site for you and your family to enjoy! We have a Yurt, a cabin, 3 RV/Travel trailer pads and 2 tent sites created here and plenty of room for everyone to have their own space yet be all together. You can book the entire campground, or just one of the units. Whether it's just you, or you're bringing a crew, we know you'll love it here! Our favorite hikes in the Central Oregon area is Smith Rocks and Chimney Rock. The Prineville reservoir is roughly a 12 minute drive and the starry nights here are something to behold. Up the road is the most unique petting zoo that we recently found! Find it and you might just be able to hold a baby kangaroo! Boondocking site means there is no hook-ups or running water so you'll want to bring in your own water and heat if you're here in the colder months. Your four legged furry family members are welcomed! They must be accompanied at all times and not left on the property alone. The dog run is for you to keep closer tabs on them while relaxing, not for leaving them while going into town or enjoying the area. The dirt is very soft and it wouldn't take very long for them to dig under to get out and go looking for you. The cabin or yurt is also not a pet storage area - with no power or AC, pets are not allowed to be left alone in the dwellings.

Juniper Pines Private RV Camping

1 site · RV2 acres · Prineville, OR
Juniper Pines is our family's 2 acre, peaceful, rustic, uninhabited getaway in Central Oregon. It is 7 minutes North of The Prineville Reservoir and 12 minutes South of the Town of Prineville. The property is flat and situated on a corner, and is best suited for dry campers who want a peaceful experience away from others all to themselves as there is no host living on site. The center area is cleared of trees, has a rustic fire pit in the center, with trees surrounding the perimeter of the property. The adjacent property to the side has no buildings or tenants, adding to your sense of privacy, while the adjacent property to the rear has year round, live in quiet tenants. In the summer, we bring our boat, kayaks, paddle boards, jeep, and boat and use them in the surrounding waterways and on the nearby public use BLM land. Or bring your family's fishing poles and take the kids to the local Youth Fishing Pond or nearby Haystack Reservoir that are both stocked year-round with trout. There is plenty of room on the property to bring your kayaks or boat if you plan to use the local waterways. Be sure to try Grannies for local treats just a few minutes away, for special coffee drinks and food you are bound to love, or if you need ice or a quick breakfast burrito. Be sure to run into town and stop in at Tastee Treet, for the best milk shakes and burgers around! And- if you like micro brews or cider's in a very laid-back open-air fire side setting, stop by the Wild Ride Brewery in Prineville for a truly epic outdoor family friendly experience. While you are there, grab some delicious food at the on-site food carts! We haven't been able to use our property as much as we would like, so our family getaway camp spot is now open to share with others. We hope you enjoy this location, the privacy, and ability to camp with a larger group all by yourselves. I hope you get to enjoy all the things that we love to do without having to share outdoor space right next to others or struggle to find an open reservation!

Bologna Creek Ranch

9 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents101 acres · Monument, OR
My grandfather and my dad bought the property as a bank foreclosure in 1987.  Our grandfather gave his portion to my brother and I.  We have used it primarily for recreation and big game hunting.  I have been managing restoration projects on the place for the last 7 years.  We have restored over 200 acre of native grasslands and are working on getting the aspens back stronger.  We love it when visitors take some time to clip the western junipers smaller than 1 ft tall in our restoration areas!
