Really enjoyed this site! It was an incredible drive in and a lovely little sight. The overhead shade of the lounge helps give some relief to the hot high desert summer. The star gazing & bird watching were awe-inspiring! Dee was a very kind host - it was fun chatting with her in the mornings when she came to water the gardens. The site is pretty close to the house, but it still felt private. The whole space has such a fun, incredible vibe to it - lots of creativity and natural beauty. My only note is that the floor of the lounge and the steps up to the bathroom both felt a little unstable. But totally worth it for the lovely stay!!!

My first compliment is D herself, the land is inviting and warm, and I understand why, having met the owner. Her heart goes into the care of this land constantly. The stars , the rustic surroundings and the peacefulness was so serene and so needed. The area is not your RV park, no hook ups, limited water and a compost toilet, we just loved it!!! Thank you D for sharing your beautiful land .

The camp spot was spacious. The sundeck and out house were comfortable and clean. The sunrises and sunsets were stunning. We were able to accommodate our 23’ travel trailer and 35’ fifth wheel trailer with plenty of space. The wild flowers were pretty. The host does have solar power which allowed us to charge phones and make a pot of coffee. Be prepared to be fully self-contained if camping for more than a few days. If you want stunning views and complete silence, this is your place. Thank you D!!!

What a beautiful site!! We opted to use the tent D provided and it was so big and roomy. Two full size air mattresses and I could stand up in the tent. It was set up and ready to go when we arrived! It made everything so much easier. The site itself is big and private. D was a perfect host. She was quick to respond to any questions or requests. We saw lots of hummingbirds, baby quails and dear. We could hear the coyotes “talking” at night, which was amazing! The covered patio and enclosed bathroom was perfect for us. I would highly recommend this site for anyone who wants privacy plus a beautiful view.

The Enclave was such a perfect base for our exploration of the area and D is an incredibly generous host. Our plans changed last minute to exclude our rv and, of course, the change meant a couple things were left behind- D graciously offered to help us out. We cannot wait to get back out there to explore this part of Oregon more and hope our travels bring us back to the Enclave!

Highly recommended! The site was easy to find and to park. The pergola type structure built by the owner “D” was an ideal place for meals as well as just relaxing. D was quite creative in its design. The view from this structure is beautiful. She also provided an electrical hook up which we greatly appreciated. There is also a very large tent with mattress available,. The location was central to all 3 units of the John Day Fossil Beds National Monument, although a fair amount of driving was necessary due to the widespread locations. D was a wonderful host with an interesting backstory. We would love to return someday with some of our family.

Wonderful little campground! Such a calm and peaceful space to come back to after a nice day of exploring the area. The drive in from Smith Rock was very straightforward and D sent over directions to follow. It’s a nice drive through the canyons and into the little valley where camp is. We were the only campers so it was nice and private. The site is just a big parking area so if you are looking for separate camp sites this may not be the right fit for you. D has crated a nice and cozy space and it was a wonderful start to our camping road trip!

Incredible views and just a great spot to enjoy and relax. Easy to find. Short trip to Priest Hole was really fun and beautiful. Coyotes howling at night was really cool. Accommodations were simple and perfect.

A very beautiful and remote valley camping spot on a flower filled homestead with some luxuries like a shady patio, comfortable seating and probably the nicest outhouse I've ever seen. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved every minute of our time in D’s camping spot - she was very warm & welcoming and the place is gorgeous! Fabulous views, quiet and a beautiful night sky. She sent us a list of things to do before we even arrived which was much appreciated and we had a great time exploring and hiking. 100% recommend!

We had a great stay. Dee was very welcoming and gave us a lot of ideas and info about the area. It was really nice to have an outdoor patio and a composting toilet in a room that she built herself. The property is very private with great views. We will definitely stay there again when back in the area.

We loved the location and the views were excellent. The camp site was exactly what we were looking for, and we appreciated the bathroom and sitting space provided. We even got a bonus visit from the owners cat, who was nice enough to inspect the inside of our trailer. After finding it adequate he went on his merry way. If you're into birding the area is perfect, and there is a lot of wildlife to see in the surrounding area. This was a great base camp for visiting the John Day Fossil Beds. We would definitely come back.

Some of the things that made our stay at the Enclave memorable: The peace and quiet. The stars at night. Watching and listening to the birds. The scenic drive through the canyon from Mitchell. Morning coffee and evening wine in the shaded 'lounge'. D' is fabulous.

Enclave, is a sweet sanctuary with awesome views of rocky ridges that make both sunrise and sunset an experience. It is a bonus that there is a fun lounge and really nice bathroom. D is an artist and you can see her touches in everything with makes it extra special.

Driving down into Twickenham was spectacular and it made me nervous as to where we were going until we broke through into the valley floor. It was like Shangrala. D' was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. great dark skies at night and stars abundant. Truly a memorable place.

What a beautiful place to call home for a couple days/nights. The camp is totally clean and organized, surrounded by nature. D (the host) was super accommodating and friendly without being intrusive. This place is amazing and we would definitely come back.

Camping at The Enclave was fabulous! The property itself is in a stunning location and close to plenty of amazing outdoor activities. The campsite is fantastic, feels nice and tucked away and has plenty of modern amenities to make the stay quite comfortable: wi-fi, electricity, a clean bathroom space, a water hose. D was a fantastic host, and is so kind and easy going. They have put so many thoughtful touches into the space, brought us fresh cut lavender and grapes from the garden, and let us help ourselves to the produce growing at the pergola. The solar powered lights, water fountains, hummingbird feeders, cozy chairs, flowers, and guides to the surrounding area were just a few of the stand out amenities that were really the cherry on top of a beautiful campsite. The campsite does have straw-like grass clippings on the ground to keep the dust at bay, so be sure to bring a pair of slip on shoes to walk around outside, and a mat to catch any stray clippings outside of your tent!

We had such a relaxing time tent camping here. The stars were incredible! The little outhouse was very clean and everything worked great. We loved listening to the coyotes tip and howl at night, and having coffee in the morning on the little patio. A very sweet little spot.

Camping at the Enclave was amazing!! The grounds are perfect for tent camping, especially with the shaded and comfy lounge area, and the toilet and pump sink provided are incredibly clean and easy to use. The views you can see just from the campsite are incredibly pretty as well, and at night the stars are absolutely gorgeous--it was one of the main things we came out for and it was perfect!! The Enclave is also situated perfectly to go out and experience tons of other things without having to spend all day driving. It's also very dog-friendly, we had our 6 month old cavalier with us and there was plenty of room for her to run around on a line. Dickse herself is very friendly and willing to help out with whatever you need, and if you're lucky she might give you some fresh-picked lavender!! We'll definitely be back with family! 💚

I really liked this place. The Lounge was great for sitting during the heat of the day. The toilet was clean and well stocked. Fresh water was readily available. The scenery was amazing and Dickse was a great host.
