Cascade Locks is located right in the heart of the Columbia River Gorge. In other words, scenic vistas overlooking the mighty Columbia River are the main attraction here. Miles of hiking trails and campsites line the river, just waiting to be explored. Thanks to the river and the unique, scenic geography of the area, Cascade Locks is quickly becoming a sailboat mecca. The river is also a hot spot for windsurfing, kiteboarding, kayaking and fishing; you'll have no problem getting your adrenaline up at Cascade Locks. Or, if you want to take it easy and let someone else guide you down the river, head over to Marine Park where you can hop on a riverboat cruise on an authentic triple-deck paddle wheeler. The park is also a great place to camp for the night, with 15 sites available, or check out nearby Eagle Creek Campground, located high up on a bluff near Eagle Creek and the Columbia River. Popular activities here include birdwatching, picnicking, and photographing the wildflowers along the hiking trails. You're just short drive away from iconic Multnomah Falls, too. With a trip to Cascade Locks, the only thing you'll be longing for is more time to explore.

Call it a tent if you want, but this is luxury. Full kitchen, bed, shower, and wood stove inside.
How do you prefer your coffee? Leaded or 1/2 Calf?
Seriously the coolest outhouse I've ever seen. If you are staying in one of the tents, you will have your own bathroom inside, but I highly recommend checking these things out.
Hammocks all over the place so you can lounge whenever you get the urge.
Fire pit and benches ready for your enjoyment.

Hot Springs Meadow
Lots of room for everyone to find a cozy spot! Fire-pit in the middle of the action. Find your "inner clam" and have a bit of fun while your at it! If you have a large group this is the site that will do the trick. The famous "Wind River" just steps away.

American shad, steelhead, white sturgeon, lamprey, Chinook, coho, and sockeye salmon are all frequent catches in the Columbia River.
Naturally the first thing we did was set up the hammock.
Finally back at camp! It didn't rain for the rest of the night so we were able to cook in the open and hang by the waterfall. Protip: Fairy Lights are a car camping necessity.
We'll be dreaming of our stay at Naked Falls until the next time. Happy camping!
