Santa Fe is by far one of the coolest cities in New Mexico, and those looking to step out into the surrounding Sangre De Cristo Mountains will find adventure and incredible scenery at Hyde Memorial State Park. Rolling mountains covered in towering pines and aspens offer ample hiking and birdwatching. This is a place you definitely want to be when autumn hits; the colors are out of this world! Winter is equally as exciting when the trails are covered in snow for cross country skiers, snowshoers, and snowmobilers. Campgrounds abound here, so stay a few days while you explore the park and Santa Fe. It’s easy to see why this exquisite parcel of land was New Mexico’s first state park, and a favorite to all who visit!
