The property is located about 30 minutes from downtown Sante Fe. About 8 miles of dirt roads to the property. Feel like you are farther from civilization than you are. Designated dark space and great for star gazing. Seven acres with Yurt with a bed and desk inside and simple amenities. Small water tank on property and a portable camping toilet. Comes with internet access and some solar electricity and generator on property. The city is renowned for its rich cultural heritage, vibrant art scene, and delectable cuisine. Off-Grid Camping Near Santa Fe

We had the most incredible stay at Sam’s yurt. If you’re looking for a private off-grid location with plenty of space for your dogs to run around, this is it! Not to mentioned, downtown Santa Fe is only a short drive away. Sam was a responsive host and super flexible with our request to extend our stay. We will absolutely be back!!

Pros: bed was comfy, WiFi worked, and the area was beautifully dark and quiet However, I could not recommend this stay. The site was difficult to find and there was no signage or even a marker to let you know where to go. That’s forgiveable, but there was hair and some kind of stains (blood?) on the pillow and comforter Additionally, the portable camping toilet is INSIDE the yurt. It looks like the owner is building an outhouse building, but currently you are defecating inside the small room in which you are sleeping. Also, due to the type of dome you can not see the night sky from inside the yurt. While the description says portable camping toilet and waste to be taken out, in the amenities “toilet” and “waste bin” are listed and I feel that this sets inaccurate expectations of the yurt. If I am defecating in a bag in the room I am staying in and there is no garbage bin or dumpster for me to dispose of that bag, then the listing should more clearly reflect that. Overall, I rented this yurt as a “luxury” during a week of car camping. My car is a better choice.

I had an incredible time at the yurt. Host was very kind and accommodating. It was clean, exactly as described, and sooo quiet and peaceful. The stars were incredible to witness. I’d love to return

Beautiful landscapes great for star gazers and the yurt is very cool for up to 6 ppl. PS bring sleeping bag and air matters.
