Iron Horse Forest River Cabin
in ALMOST TO CANADA - FAR NORTH IDAHO, IdahoPaul truly has created a special place. I was lucky enough to be able to snag the cabin not even 24 hours before I arrived. The cabin is perfect-not too much, yet at the same time wonderfully functional. You could easily fit 6 people into the cabin. One of my favorite features were the beautiful, massive windows that not only provided wonderful natural light but truly panoramic views of the forested surrounding area. Paul's cabin and the water spigot is only a short 3 minute walk away, yet when at the cabin, you cannot hear or see his cabin. Do be warned- though it is sort of a glamping experience since it is a cabin, make sure to still bring your own pots and pans. There is plenty of basics available, but it never hurts to be prepared. The area itself is spectacularly beautiful and is literally 1 mile away from Canada, so bring your passport! I had fun driving around the area and discovering so many hidden trails. The fall leaves were beautiful and I can't imagine how it looks in the summer. The river is literally right out your door. I cannot wait to return to the cabin and introduce more people to this special place. I also can't wait to see what Paul adds to the cabin because it seems like he is constantly improving to this awesome 15 acre piece of paradise. Thank you Paul for a relaxing weekend that helped me recoup from midterms!
Rabbit O Brien Rv/Tent Camp
in Rabbit O'brien Camp, MontanaDavid and his wonderful wife were wonderful hosts. We thoroughly enjoyed our escape from college off the grid in beautiful Montana. We camped down by the creek which provided a wonderful hammocking spot as well as gentle noise at night while we lay in the tent. Their bath house was wonderful and we all agreed that we could easily camp their longer with the hot showers they provided! The deck had the most beautiful view of the mountains and was great for roasting marshmallows! David provided great advice on places to explore in the area. We enjoyed the Main Perk Cafe in town, the lake a few miles up the road and the falls. A perk is the adorable twin deer that we decided to call Montana's special breed of dog. We look forward to our next visit, especially to see Dodo and Buckie.
