Cozy cabin! Stayed here during a summer day. It gets hot during the day, but it didn't bother us since we spent most of the day outside. There's no AC but there are fans and it's nice to keep the doors open to let the cool air cycle through. This cabin is close to the lake, hiking trails, and grocery stores. It's an intimate space yet there's plenty of room to sleep and eat comfortably. We mostly just rested and played games. An ideal place to retreat.
This cabin is so cute! It's an intimate space with one bathroom. There is a bedroom and a loft, which also has a large bed, where you climb into by using a ladder. I love the view from the living room, which is also quite spacious. It was warm inside, but you can easily cool the place by closing the curtains and turning on the AC. I kept the balcony door open to let the cool air come in. After unpacking my stuff, I decided to relax and use their record player and play some music and gaze at the view of the mountains and trees. It's a relaxing space and would definitely want to spend more time there!
I spent the night at Star Deck, but there's plenty of space to tent camp and a couple of spots for for vans and RVs. The deck is right next to a trail, so you may see a few hikers (it's still a more private trail). The host is super chill, easy to communicate with. The nightsky was so beautiful! You can see lots of stars. I like that it has direct access to a trail. You have to hike in to set up your camp at the Star Deck area (not flat) so make sure you're comfortable carrying all of your stuff! For the other site, you don't have to walk much. Really peaceful area and pleasant for camping.
The Vintage Vibe is clean, private, and also a cornucopia of eye candy of vintage knickknacks. The property is in the middle of desert with mountain views. Once I booked, the host was prompt in sharing directions and sharing what nearby places to check out. The design of the trailer and its surrounding property made it really fun to walk around and relax underneath the sun. I love the firepit area too. If you forget firewood or charcoal, they are readily available in exchange for cash. I'd love to come back with friends and family. The trailer can comfortably fit 5 people. There's also an AC, refrigerator, stove, shower, and grill. There is a compost toilet. It's such a convenient and neat place to stay. I felt comfortable and safe.
I had a pleasant stay in this beautiful guesthouse near the mountains built by the owner. The place is clean, cozy, and peaceful. It's great for small groups, couples, or individuals. The hospitality is amazing and they really go above and beyond that make you feel right at home. The hosts are so lovely and kind. In the morning, I meditated by the creek, which is accessible in their backyard. Just remember to screenshot or write down the directions because you may not have cell service. If you're planning on checking in late, just remember that you won't have late night access to food nearby. You'll have to drive to the central part of the Mammoth Lakes town. So bring food! Would love to come again!
It was relaxing to camp right by the water with views of the mountains. The stars at night were also very beautiful. It's a well-developed campground and even wifi is available. You'll have fellow camping neighbors either in RVs or tents right next to you. It's not the most private, but a campground with showers and flushable toilets will attract many potential guests. It's not a bad deal at all. I recommend messaging the owner first about site availability. He hooked me up with a really nice, grassy spot for my tent.
What's best about this camping location is how close it is to the west entrance and many other amenities. If you plan to spend most of your day in the park, this is the place to be. The host is quite welcoming and also offers great ideas in terms of music culture in local communities. The property itself is right off Park Blvd. It's not a secluded spot but again, it's just super convenient. It's right across the Coyote Corner shop, which offers showers. The host just started out on hipcamp and plans to develop it further. I'm super excited to see how it grows!
Beautiful, secluded campsite. There's a dock where you can set up your tent. Picnic table and a fire pit is available. Getting here requires driving on a dirt road. I would highly suggest contact and confirming directions with the host. There's a little tiny house on the property and a couple of trailers, but it's much further away from this campsite.
