Dian is a gracious and welcoming host, we had an interesting conversation about options available to farmers with drought-burned corn crops. The tent site looks over the Kansas plain, and I woke the next morning to a brilliant sunrise making rainbows in storm miles to the west.

Past trip
in Branded 5 Stable & Kennel LLC, KansasThis was my second stay at B5 Stable, and I will happily stay again when the occasion arises. The tent area is a large grassy area behind their barn, so the horses greet you quietly in the morning when you wake up, and the friendly farm cats come over to investigate. The hosts are friendly but not intrusive, and took care to make sure I was comfortably settled in. Well located to Interstate 70 and services at Hays.
Past trip
in C2T Ranch on the Saline River, KansasIf you are traveling on Interstate 70, it's a bit out of the way, but well worth the time. Between the river and the bluffs, you won't think that you are in Kansas anymore. The camp sites are well laid out, well maintained and very private. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty certain that I could hear wild turkeys in the morning as I woke. Beat that, Holiday Inn Express!
Past trip
in Branded 5 Stable & Kennel LLC, KansasI arrived at the stable on the heels of a rain and wind storm that caused a closure of I-70 (I heard that a couple of tractor-trailers were blown over), flooded the tent site area and cut off the stable's electricity. Mike and Stephanie handled the whole situation with aplomb and arranged alternate lodging for me. So while I cannot speak to the quality of the tent sites, I can say that as hosts, they definitely rose to the occasion. Thanks
