Fisherman's Paradise
in SpringLake Angus Ranch, NebraskaAmazing! This property is exactly why I joined Hipcamp years ago. Iâve had many enjoyable Hipcamps in Nebraska and this is easily the best! The listing name says it all - this is a paradise for bass and crappie fisherman (to name a few fish). First cast had some user error resulting in some tangles, second cast was a 2.5 lb largemouth bass. Caught well over 20 fish in one afternoon, basically every third or fourth cast was a bite. Every fish was well over a pound, got a couple 4+ lbârs. There are huge bass here! I was allowed to use a row boat and fished the whole lake, every spot was constant action. Even from shore, fishing was great. The camping area is set up right across from a small island that you can fish 3 sides of, and all 3 sides had great results. Plenty of open shoreline to walk and fish. Teal was great, showed me around the property and let me have my choice of where to set up camp. At this lake there is a nice big pine tree that provides shade. Very secluded, away from the barn/house. I wouldnât change anything about this place and I canât wait to go back. This is the best case scenario for a Hipcamp in my opinion! It is a private lake on a working farm, so no toilet, but there was plenty of privacy and space to dig a cat hole.

Past trip
in A Country Retreat, NebraskaIris was so sweet. It seemed like she genuinely enjoys sharing her paradise. The site was in a nicely shaded grass area, rolling hills in all directions. Compost toilet was great, very clean and even had instructions. I took a nice little hike down a maintained path and saw a deer as well as a fox with a pup! I was able to relax and enjoy a nice fire in the pit, there was even some wood around. This is a great hipcamp! Highly recommend.

Site 2 - 100 Acre Organic Farm
in Brush Creek and Kickapoo Camping, WisconsinThe land was beautiful! Corn fields surrounded by high tree lines. I arrived at the address listed, and a young man showed me to the property. It was very secluded, right on the river. I could see trout throughout the whole river, only caught 2. The cows greeted me in the morning, and were very calm and peaceful. This property was great. The campsite was situated within a corn field, but had plenty of open area for tent, car, and fire ring. I would highly recommend this property and will stay here in the future. The host was very easy to work with, and was very accommodating. I reserved the site last minute, about 3 hours before showing up and there were no issues at all. Plenty of firewood/logs/driftwood around.
