Eh.

This site was Ok.
Before arriving, we were messaged multiple times to MAKE SURE WE ARE THERE BEFORE 5pm to check in. This is somewhat inconvenient, and a little early. We paid for the campground ahead of time, so what is the urgency to be there so early. This was a point of stress to me to make sure we rushed through our day on our road trip to be there by 5pm.
The owner seemed to bave an attitude as soon as we arrived.
The owner chastised us for wanting to take two showers. After 4 days on the road camping with no shower, it was literally the most important reason we booked this location, (for the showerâŚ) and then one of the showers was broken and not really in great shape to begin with.
The owner also loudly exclaimed that âIâm not sexist, but you guys ARE MEN, so DONT GO FASTER THAN 5mph!â And then screamed at someone going maybe 7mph as we were leaving the store.
We were a group of 5 with 5 small backpacking tents. We have taken trips all over and never had an issue fitting all our tiny tents in one campspot, ever. The owner made a big deal about how 5 tents were not allowed, and she had to assign us the only spot that would fit all of us⌠the spot we got was absolutely the worst spot on the property. It was basically a dirt parking lot with room to park about three RVs. Our tents were pummeled with dust with no shade or cover.
Overall, we got showers but It was my least favorite campsite on our whole road trip. I only recommene for proximity to the NP.
Past trips
Upper Falls
in Musick Creek Falls, CaliforniaFive stars, beautiful and relaxing!
We had such a memorable stay at Upper Falls! The site is perched right at the top of a beautiful waterfall, which created the most peaceful, relaxing backdrop for our entire trip. Falling asleep to the sound of the creek was pure magic.
The gazebo was a fantastic bonus â the perfect spot for dinner, card games. We watched sunset from the top of the waterfall, where we could see the water reflecting the orange light. We also loved cooling off with a quick dip in the creek â refreshing and serene.
Our host, Shandie, was wonderful â friendly, responsive, and clearly cares a lot about the land. Everything was clean, well-marked, and felt thoughtfully put together.
If youâre looking for a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this is it. We left feeling completely recharged. Highly recommend!
