This camping spot is GORGEOUS and so well kept! It feels like your own slice of beautiful forest with stunning meadows! We camped on an especially cold weekend and even witnessed a bit of snow fall! Our group really enjoyed exploring the grounds and frolicking through the meadow to find more forest adventure. The road to get there is pretty long and bumpy but part of the fun! The hosts were very great a communicating and came by everyday to see if we had any trash they could throw away!

The surroundings of this camp site are very beautiful and the drive itself is an adventure. The road was still quite undeveloped when we was there which made the drive in quite bumpy, I would drive a car you aren't too worried about getting a little dirty with decent tires. The camp spots were all laid out near one another within view of the property owners house (far enough away to have some privacy) and a little more space than you would get at your typical camp site. One of our favorite parts was exploring the camp grounds by foot and enjoying the gorgeous views and unlimited trails amongst the trees. The camp host was super cool and met us at the bottom of the trail where he led us up to the spot, he also helped with some tools for a flat tire. Nice people, beautiful surroundings. :)

Reptacular Animals Ranch

Reptacular Ranch was the perfect getaway! It's so amazing to be able to drive just a few miles out of the city and feel like you are completely "away". Cory was a very accommodating host and will make sure you have whatever you need! Our absolute favorite part of the trip was the petting zoo (of course)! There is a lovely petting zoo that has goats, sheep, alpaca and two of the most loving guard dogs you'll ever meet. We were sure to spend at least an hour hanging out with the animals. There are plenty more animals dispersed all over the property! We spent our night around the campfire between a pen of humungous tortoises and a pen of farm animals, if you're an animal lover you will be in heaven. Once it got dark we were able to enjoy peace and quite for the entire night (even the animals were practically silent). We really enjoyed our stay and we think any animal lover will too!

#1 Corral Campsite
in Five Fours Camp in Three Rivers, CaliforniaWe loved our stay here so much! Everything is so CLEAN and well decorated! We were welcomed by Brewster and his adorable pup when we arrived, we brought our doggy along and the two pups hit it off. It was great to let our dog roam off leash and to get some play time in! The outdoor shower was SO refreshing on a hot day and the bathroom with running water made us feel spoiled while camping! Brewster recommended we take a drive down the road to Slick Rock and it was a serene relaxing time to explore the water and find some beautiful swimming holes. We had a great time!
Creekside Camping and Mineral Bath
in Creekside Camping and Mineral Baths, CaliforniaPeaceful Mountain Cabin
in Peaceful Mountain Cabin, CaliforniaThis spot is the perfect combination of enjoying the outdoors and having the amenities of staying in a cabin. We absolutely loved our time here and will certainly be back. The cabin is on Gigi's 2 acre property but you feel like you are completely separate and Gigi is so relaxed and accommodating she is a wonderful presence. The whole property is fenced in so we were able to let our Golden roam the property stress free. She has two labs who she put in a pen as well as goats and chickens (also in pens). It was so fun to let our doggy explore without having to worry. The night sky was absolutely breathtaking and although it was freezing outside we were very warm and comfortable in our cabin. One of our favorite parts of the trip was spending the day over at James's Jousting Alliance where we learned some fun new skills (archery- spear throwing to name a few) and got to ride his BEAUTIFUL horses! Gigi will give you his info and it is WELL worth it!

Serenity Lake Tent Camp
in Serenity Lake, CaliforniaSerenity lake is an absolutely beautiful and peaceful oasis! We could not believe how well kept and beautiful the grounds were! It was so refreshing to have plenty of space and gorgeous settings. Allen is such a wonderful host who cares deeply about his property. He is helpful and super relaxed. It feels like a good friend invited you to their private lake for some good times. It's also amazing for dogs!!! The property is fenced off so you can let your doggy roam around as long as your not too close to anyone else. We brought rafts and really enjoyed exploring the river and traveling to the adorable island! I will definitely be back here!
Honeymoon Cottage
in Historic Sturtevant Camp, CaliforniaWe absolutely loved our entire experience! We actually ended up staying in the guest cabins (Deb was nice enough to let us stay there since the Honeymoon Cottage was booked). The 4.25 mile hike in was so perfect and beautiful. Some parts are completely covered and damp and then other overlook the entire valley. The trail is pretty busy (especially towards the front) and we saw a lot of other dogs but everyone was very kind and almost all of the dogs were on leash. Once we got to the campsite we immediately felt peaceful and accommodated. Our cabin was tidy and once the heat was turned on it was nice and cozy. We enjoyed the grounds and all of the activities (zipline, swings, hammocks, dinning hall, board games). Another group of campers even offered us some of their homemade curry that was delicious and so generous. We had a great nights sleep and then loved our hike back (we even ended up taking a different route back on accident that seemed to be a short cut). We definitely will be coming back!
Riverside Ranch Tent Camp
in Riverside Ranch, CaliforniaI honestly could not have had a better experience at this magical camp! The grounds were absolutely magical and picturesque. We pulled up to the site to a warm welcome from the owner Jerry, who was nothing but helpful and kind in every way possible. One of our very favorite experiences was our goat yoga that Heidi so perfectly accommodated with her award winning show goats. We spent some time up in the doe garden practicing yoga and acro while the goats hung around and even came up for kiss or nuzzle every once and a while. They have a HUGE guard dog who is the sweetest polar bear you can imagine. All of the animals on this farm are gorgeous and so well kept. Down at the camp site (just a short walk away from the goats) we had acres of land to explore and inhabit. There is large river that runs along side the site that is poetic and peaceful. We found endless places to put our hammocks and hang to enjoy the nature. The site includes an awesome water pump, a picnic table, fire pit, and outhouse. The hosts were beyond accommodating but also very respectful of space and weren't noticed at all. They provided us some drinking water, fire wood, hot coco and Heidi even gifted me some home made soap from the goats milk. The site is just 30 minutes from the sequoias (a must see) and surrounded by countless hikes and trails. Our whole group had an amazing experience and we think anyone who discovers this gem is going to as well. 10/10
