This was a great camp with a super friendly host and close access to lakes, rivers, and trails. Definitely would recommend and plan on staying there again when I'm in the area!

Art was super welcoming and checked in on us each day to share places to explore and things to do. If you’re in to disc golf, head over to China Peak, you won’t be sorry!

These people truly understand what means to be in touch with the outdoors and the campsite they've created was exceptional. We had bon fires under the open skies and made many new friends. I will be back I just don't know when.

David, Bree and Art were such great hosts! My daughter, fur baby and I had such a great time here and exploring around the area. We were looking for something with more privacy and away from the city and we were not disappointed! We stayed at the Toad Hall site and had a perfect view to the Milky Way at night. The swing set was a pleasent surprise that my daughter really enjoyed. It was also nice that we could collect firewood from around the property.

Art was super helpful and accommodating once we got there. But getting there is super confusing - I booked day of and my email with directions didn’t download all the way to my phone with the horrible service up there. Luckily we were able to find it after about an hour of searching. It’s a big empty lot with a bunch of sites on it to camp. You’re definitely close to your neighbors so if you’re looking for peace it’s probably not here but everyone was super helpful and so nice at the property. Would definitely recommend if you’re up there.
Btw this was my first time using hipcamps as well.

We LOVED camping here and plan to come back. It was so beautiful and spacious. Clear skies with thousands of stars, beautiful trees to hang hammocks from, and a sunset over the mountains like no other. We had a great time and Dave and his team were so hospitable and friendly! Highly recommend!!

Dün Çærrï'g was exactly the kind of site I wanted for a quiet get-away. The area is beautiful and surrounded by trees and you feel like you're in a postcard version of what camping in California should be. David was extremely helpful and answered all my questions prior to my arrival. We got lucky in that we were one of only two campsites booked during the weekend so we had a lot of privacy. I suppose it would get louder with all the camp sites occupied, but from what I understand these sites are bigger than what you'd get at a state-run site, so it's still a "win." There are bees flitting during the day but they are harmless and are gone by nightfall.

10 out of 10. We LOVED this place. The camp ground was clean and ready to settle in when we first arrived. We were a little lost when we first arrived as it’s off the grid, not a google search kind of place, in which we enjoyed. A father daughter team saw us driving in and came to introduce us to the grounds. They explained how everything worked and where the lake, shops, and best hiking tool place. Everything, feeling so secluded at the same time, was so near by. We were up on the mountain cliff that had a brilliant place to see sunsets and sunrises. They had swings on the cliff side that took a sunrise on the other side to get us off. It also had a clear view of the mountain range above us. David was extraordinary by stopping by telling us or inviting us to do different things that would enhance our camping trip. His response time to any type of message or verbal request was taken care of immediately! His family has named everything on the land so it was very easy to communicate and find things. Our children really enjoyed running around the grounds finding hidden tree forts they had hand built. The children were in eyes view, we were able to hear them running around in the distance and were able to feel like they were on their own as we adults sat by the fire and did our cooking and relaxing!
The campground is very new. There is no road and is a trail to drive on, but when you want to go camping who wants pavement. They were setting up a shower that wasn’t ready on our time of visit, but we didn’t care, we planned on getting dirty and showering with the water we brought and using the lake (literally 12 minutes away). The had a little sink with a hose that helped wash our dishes or little things we brought, (I actually used the hose in the sink to take a GREAT shower). The toilet was a cute little wooden out-hose with a seat that had a contraption that you sat and did your thing. We were provided toilet paper. There where no flies, not sure how, used saw dust to cover the smell, and I mean, there was no smell!!! It was comfortable and better than going in the woods. They supplied us with a garbage bin and recycling bin that we put our trash bags in because we didn’t want to dirty the inside for the next campers.
The hiking trail was 20 feet away from our camp. It was a little covered by knocked down trees from a storm they had, which made us truly feel like we were in nature. We had to jump, cross, and go over logs to get around. It was beautiful.
I highly recommend this AMAZING place and I look forward to spending a lot of my time here! I am a business owner who is contact with the city life and tons of people. . . This was a vacation that I needed to re-charge. We camped from Friday to Monday morning and all 6 of us didn’t want to leave. We thank David and his team (our first camping trip on our owns as adults without mom and dad) for the most amazing experience and adventurous time, we’ve had in a long time!!! I hope to share my photos to show you this extraordinary place.

David’s place was a perfect camping get away. David was so delightful. We loved our large camp site and the abundant fire wood! There are multiple trails all around the site which was convenient and made sunset hiking ideal. Our little dog was in heaven with such a large . The outdoor shower was a gem! Thanks Art!! We can’t wait to come back.

As a mother of 3 boys, i expected to be after them all day without really enjoying myself. That was not the case. Since day one, my 2, 8, and 10 year found plenty of areas to explore. Since we had a secluded private area to ourselves, i was able to relax and be carefree without worries throughout our 3 day stay. We went on a lovely family hike that even my 2 year enjoyed without being carried most of the way. The drive to near by Shaver Lake town made it also convenient for quick stops for supplies and nice outing to even grab a quick bite. Further down from town, we had easy access to shaver lake, where we enjoyed some water fun. As we headed back to camp, i looked forward to the perfect picturistic view of our campground with a lovely lighted fire. Not to mention our host David was just a call away if we needed anything and was very thoughtful in providing us with plenty of ways to entertain ourselves. I cant wait to go back for my next vacation. 👍

The surroundings of this camp site are very beautiful and the drive itself is an adventure. The road was still quite undeveloped when we was there which made the drive in quite bumpy, I would drive a car you aren't too worried about getting a little dirty with decent tires. The camp spots were all laid out near one another within view of the property owners house (far enough away to have some privacy) and a little more space than you would get at your typical camp site. One of our favorite parts was exploring the camp grounds by foot and enjoying the gorgeous views and unlimited trails amongst the trees. The camp host was super cool and met us at the bottom of the trail where he led us up to the spot, he also helped with some tools for a flat tire. Nice people, beautiful surroundings. :)

David (the host) is a super nice person and very accommodating. We left our trailer and all of our personal belongings at the site while we explored during the day and felt very safe and secure to whole stay (4 nights). They are still in the process of getting the property cleared and ready so it is a bit rough with freshly graded areas but David brought in extra wood chip and spread it for us which held a lot.

Dave was a very nice host and his campground will be a great little getaway from the hustle and bustle of larger places like Camp Edison, once it's actually completed. Dave was still in process of getting the camping area cleared, ground leveled, and building the communal facilities when we visited over Memorial Day weekend but this was not much of a problem for us since we are self-contained in a camper van. Once the sites are ready this will be a wonderful location for any camper. Dave also provided firewood which was awesome, but the tractor running across the property most of the day on Sunday was kind of disappointing.

David was so nice! We were greeted upon arrival and was making our campsite more comfortable based on a past campers comment which was great because it shows he was listening. After our greeting we were left alone to our site and even got to see some deer in the morning right behind our tent ⛺️. I would give this site a 10/10!
