in Gilles Family Dairy & Woodland, MinnesotaPerfect weekend getaway!
I surprised my partner with a little weekend getaway to wooden tent in the woods for his 30th birthday and it far exceeded my expectations! Mike was was such a great host; he was there to greet us when we got there and already had a fire going for us which was such a lovely touch. All of the amenities he provided made us feel truly cared for. It is such a beautiful dairy farm with such unexpected beauty tucked away that you would have never guessed was there! We loved that we truly didnât even need to leave the property all weekend to have an amazing timeâthere were plenty of pretty trails to walk the dogs throughout the property and it was very private. We even got to meet the cutest baby cow named Muffin that was only two days old. What a little gem of a place! We are already plotting our next trip back there.
Site 2 - The Good Earth Farm
in South Dakota Prairie Camping, South DakotaWe absolutely LOVED our stay with Jeff on The Good Earth Farm! We were on a road trip and booked last minute and he was there to greet us with cold beers when we arrived! Him and his wife were such kind and hospitable people and have such a beautiful property. In the morning, he welcomed us to gather veggies and fresh raspberries from the farm and eggs from the coop and we made the most delicious breakfast skillet with them! My boyfriend and I plan to make a trip to South Dakota again JUST to stop at the farm.
