Past trip
in RUNNING SPRINGS RIVER RETREAT, FloridaNot only met our expectations, but greatly exceeded them! The camp is spacious, clean, and filled with beautiful things. Everyone loved the Rocking chairs on the screen porch and the âswing bedâ. The kids had fun on their scooters in the paved area under the house. Adults had plenty of room to just relax upstairs. Despite the heat, the campfire and Sâmores were a first for the girls. Had I known how well equipped this home was, I would not have packed extra dishes, folding chairs, extra pillows and sheets, etc. the only ânot perfect â was that the river was high and covered the small put in area at the bottom of the steps, and I wasnât able to paddle close by with the girls. But just sitting on the deck, and throwing leaves into the river to watch them float downstream was exciting to them. Sunsets along the river were fantastic. This camp served as a good halfway point for our family to meet, and we certainly hope we can do this again!

As a tent camper this was perfect! Tent in the wilderness, but with the luxuries of a kitchen, fridge , hot showers, flush toilets, and a HOT TUB! These are now very welcome amenities in my camping life. Only problem was finding it, I stopped for directions from local police, who came checking behind me ti see that I didn't get lost. That alone made me feel safe, that the police have the time to help lost visitors!
Joanna hasn't gone on any trips yet.
