SAGE Camping Deck
in Pink Cloud Ranch, CaliforniaTammy was a gracious host! The SAGE deck was the perfect location away from Joshua Tree National Park, and the amenities (shower, running water + sink, fire pits, benches, tables, etc.) were all in great condition. 5/5, would come again on another Joshua Tree camping excursion!
A few tips for staying at the SAGE camping deck:
- After parking, the SAGE deck is the *first* deck on the right after passing the outhouse. In darkness, the "SAGE" sign is a bit hard to see. There are other decks on the property, so it's easy to get confused in the night.
- The hot water heater is gas & battery-powered (propane & 2x D-cell batteries) - check underneath the water heater's enclosure for an on-off switch, and make sure to turn the hot water faucet *hard* counterclockwise for the unit to kick on.
- Bring ear plugs! There are dogs and horses on the property, so if you're a light sleeper like me, you'll appreciate having brought ear plugs.
