Site 3 (Pond View)
in Maple Ridge Farm, VermontGreat spot, a beautiful area of the state and so quiet and peaceful. A short distance to downtown Brattleboro. Really appreciate the provided items like water, cooking tools, etc. Would love to come back with my family for a few days.
Slippery Rock Tiny Cabin
in Slippery Rock Trails LLC, MaineCannot say enough positive things about John, Pat, and Karin and their beautiful land. You feel like you're at the end of the earth, with the Androscoggin winding around hills directly in front of you. This site is at a bit of an elevation and the views are really astounding. John met us at the gate along with Karin (his daughter) who then brought us up to the shelter. Karin told us the history of the land, and about her families love for it and their passion for the land, its wildlife, and keeping it as conservation land. We were able to rent a canoe from the family and spent some time on the river, though most of the time was spent roaming around the acres and acres of beautiful fields or going down to the river for a swim. All in all we couldn't have asked for a better weekend away, especially for a work weary family of 4 (2 year old, and 8 year old). Everyone loved it. Thanks John and family, we'll be back!
