Site 2 - River Bend Resort, 4 person Tent
in River Bend Resort, CaliforniaFamily of 4 w/2 kids (3&5). Wasn't our first choice but had the previous spot double book us with 3 days notice. The campsite is a bit crowded with several large groups. Pretty loud in the evening with music and groups singing loudly, but quieted down at 10pm. Facilities super clean, cold showers littered across the grounds. River isn't as close as advertised - about a 10-15 min trek (w/kids and wagon full of stuff) - but it's a great bend in the river with a mellow water flow for the kids (3&5yr old) while also having another section that's deeper if you want to take a swim. Wasn't too busy when we got there.
More transparency on the camp site would be nice - anticipated a drive-in spot but was told on arrival that was not the case. Was able to pull up about 50 feet from camp - but then had to park at a lot further away - not close enough to leave stuff in the car for quick access.
Again, great back up plan for a last second booking. Would definitely come back due to the great river spot and kid-friendly environment.
