Site 1 - Campsite w Pool
in The Castle House: Estate, CaliforniaBlack Locust Tree field
in Hawk Meadow Farm, New YorkSteveâs farm and camp were a perfect quiet getaway central to the Finger Lakes! Steve showed us around his beautiful farm and made sure we had everything we needed (like firewood) for a wonderful stay. the camp itself was totally secluded, and the fireflies (and stars) at night were an unbelievable experience. thank you Steve!
Site 1 - Ocean Glamping in Rockaway Beach
in Brookside Canvas Glamping tent, VermontLets just get it in the open: these tents are in a courtyard of a building (albeit a beautiful one) with no direct views of the ocean. There is minimal privacy, the tents are thin and noise tends to bounce around the courtyard at night (so expect to hear lots of young kids and families). That being said, our stay was incredible; the hosts were amazing and accommodating, the tents/beds are extremely comfortable, the showers were hot, coffee and tea are free in the mornings, and best of all, you're a 30 second walk to the water. The campsite is easy to get to, either via the ferry+uber, or via the subway+a long walk. There's a bar and restaurant in the adjacent building, and did I mention you can seamless food to your tent? The beach quiets down a lot at night and you and your fellow campers are the only people staying nearby, all but guarenteeing you a private beach after sunset. Id definitely visit again.
Hay House Farm
in The Hay House Farm, Connecticutthe farmis a wonderful off the grid vegetable and flower farm tucked into a coastal forest. wake up to the sounds of chickens, explore the adjacent buddhist shrine, or get lost among the rows of flowers! david (the host) was wonderful and the property is beautiful. i would recommend this experience to anyone!
