Campers Welcome to The Wolf Swamp.

I stayed at the Otter pond site at Wolf swamp farm, and it was a nice secluded site at a small pond, which gives you a feeling that you are in the wilderness, but it is not for swimming or anything like that. There is a bigger pond nearby within a few minutes drive with a nice public beach, where you can fish, swim, kayak, paddle board etc. The farm has a few other sites but it felt very private. The outhouse was very clean.. Some people mentioned about the road noise from the nearby highway, which is definitely noticeable, but for a city mouse like me, it was just a white noise. The hosts were very kind and accommodating.

We had a great camping trip. This site is awesome and tucked away in the trees. Lots of space for tents and some good trees for hammocks. The owners were great making sure we were all set. They have large bundles of wood for $10 which is a good deal too. Only con is that you can hear the highway noise but it's not too bad at this site.

Site 6 Yogis place

Everything was so nice! The location was beautiful and the hosts were above and beyond accommodating (brought down the wood for us and a fire pit with a grate to cook on!) We had such a great time, we hope to come back soon

Site 4 The Gypsy hangout

The campground was very easy to find, and so were the sites. The hosts were attentive without hovering or invading privacy, and the grounds are so lush and well-maintained (especially the horses)! The porta potty near our site was so clean and adorably... homey? Haha. The trash can and pickup was such a help, and super rare at a tent site- loved that. The site we were at had space for 2 large tents, and could have squeezed one more smaller tent at the back of the site int he wooded portion. We went when there were no other campers staying, so it was very quiet. Such a good time at Wolf Swamp, and we can't wait to come back!

We all loved camping here so much! This site was very secluded, owners are very thoughtful, have wood and water, and additional there are plenty, plenty of things to do around here! Highly recommend camping here

Sites 11 and 12

Camping here was so nice. My group was on both sites 11 (Jesse James Hideout) and 12 (The Presidential Suite) and both were a bit secluded. 11 is much smaller, as expected, but was enclosed by trees which gave nice shade to keep our tents cool. There was lots of other groups camping this weekend but we didn't hear them at all, and everyone had a great time.

Site 6 Yogis place

The place is very beautiful and scenic, could definitely hear the highway from site 6 but that was no issue for us it was peaceful and secluded where we booked. They were very helpful in recommending places to fish and kayak, and delivering firewood daily. 10/10 would recommend

We are repeat campers at The Wolf Swamp. This is our 3rd year camping with them and we camp multiple times per summer. The Wolf Swamp is amazing, secluded, quiet, very clean and the owners are so friendly and welcoming and lovely people and their property is absolutely beautiful.

The Best Weekend Away!

Site 3 Copacabana

Absolutely LOVED our group weekend away at Wolf Swamp - its not really a swamp! Its the side of a gorgeous hillside - excellent views, beautiful sites, GREAT firewood, and Elle and Dwayne were both super friendly and kind. Will be back for SURE - so glad we stayed!!! Each site is SO FAR from the next, you can go the entire weekend without hearing or seeing anyone else! The highway makes a touch of noise, but it was easy to avoid / ignore based on what site you chose. It was also the start of Bike Week, so we expected some traffic noise, which we could only really hear at night, and then just barely. Beautiful, clean, isolated - a great spot to stay!

We camped with our 20ft travel trailer at site #12. It was private and level. We had a great 4 day weekend at this site. All of the sites have good distance between them, we couldn't see or hear anyone else. Would and probably will come back.

Elle and Dwayne were amazing hosts. The plot of land is great for exploring with plenty of trails and ponds. There is so much local wildlife that calls wolf swamp home. Definitely will be visiting again soon.

We stayed at Site 5 (Jesse James Hideout) and loved how private it felt — level ground, surrounded by trees, with a nice view of the sky. The firewood we bought was exactly what we needed for the night. We spent the evening by the fire reading and relaxing, and both slept incredibly well — my husband said it was his best night of sleep in months. Elle was a fantastic host — very kind, responsive, and genuinely helpful. She gave great kayaking recommendations and shared a local trail booklet, which made the stay even better. We can’t wait to come back and explore more.

Site 1 The Landing

Our troop had a fantastic weekend at Elle’s Land. We loved the beautiful sunset and making s’mores around the campfire—it was such a memorable experience. The campsite is clean, cozy, and well-equipped with everything we needed. We also went on a backpacking hike at Knowlton Forest Trails, which was absolutely amazing. Overall, a 10/10 experience—we’d definitely come back!

Very fun and cozy experience! There was snow on the ground and Dwayne had patted down the pathway prior to my arrival. Outhouse was very clean. Peaceful experience. The roads got very icy in the morning but Elle and Dwayne helped me get out safely.

Had a great stay at site 6. We arrived after dark and they were happy to accommodate, which was much appreciated. There is some road noise as mentioned by others, but it didn't bother us, even when sitting outside around the fire.

The man, the myth, the legend.

Absolutely beautiful campsite along a little pond. We had some surprise visits from a couple horses, Emily and Sunny, from a neighboring farm which put a great big smile on our faces. Dwayne, the man, the myth, the legend himself brought us two very large bags of wood which we happily burned throughout the cold night. Still one of my favorite sites for its convenience and scenery. Although the highway is right next to you, after a little bit it turns into white noise and helped me sleep like a baby. Thanks again for a great stay on our final trip of the year. See you guys next year!

Awesome place as we favor more remote camping. The sites are nicely spread out and we had tons of privacy while staying at the Presidential Suite. My 3 year old loved riding his bike on the trails and seeing the horses. 100% certain we will be back.

Elle’s Land/Wolf Swamp/Camp David

This farm/campground, perched high above the valley, offers a beautiful landscape, private and spacious sites that can accommodate many, and clean portapotties (picture signs, decorative lights, air fresheners, bug spray, hand sanitizer, etc). It is easy to see that much care and thought has gone into the entire campground’s set up. I don’t know if there’s a section about the hosts so I’ll mention it here. Elle and Duane(Dwayne?) offer the exact hospitality one looks for when welcomed to any property. There aren’t enough words to express how much we all enjoyed the weekend.

Otter Watch Pond is perfect!

This site was perfect for our camper van. The pond is pretty, and most certainly private. In terms of tent camping, there isn’t a large area that’s fully flat- maybe big enough for 1-2 tents most. The toilet is close by and clean. One thing to note- the highway is right near the property (as private and in the woods as it is) and it was surprisingly loud from this site. We could manage it no problem but if you prefer no car sounds, maybe not the best spot. The whole property is beautiful. The owners are very nice. We arrived in the dark and were a little unsure if we were in the right spot but once we got to the house/chatted with Elle and her husband, they helped us find the site. If you purchase wood from them, it’s a large amount of nicely burning wood. We will definitely return!
