Me and my fiancé had such a great time here! There’s a cute little coffee stand and a mercantile on the camp site, chickens that free roam but are very friendly, and cute waterfront access! (Although it’s more for fishing and less for swimming) Very welcoming and considerate hosts, our doggo doesn’t always get along with female dogs so she was always sure to put their dog Mika on a lead so we could enjoy our space with our dog! The outdoor kitchen is cute, we used the charcoal grill and it was so fun! I would also deem this place queer friendly, which is hard to find in these parts of Montana. At no point did me or my partner feel uncomfortable, always welcomed. This campsite is definitely full of love, just make sure you clean your campsite when you’re finished so the next person can enjoy it just as much :) thanks so much for having us, I’m sure we will be back!

Very nice and friendly host. The property is beautiful, and set right on the Yaak River. There’s coffee, smoothies and bagels to purchase at the Coffee Shaak that’s right on the property, and a couple minutes walk to a tavern and gas pump.
I spent two days relaxing in the beautiful setting here, and I will definitely come back if I’m passing through again!

This is basically just someone's front yard in the middle of nowhere. It is right next to the road, and the outhouse smelled horrible. We were not greeted when we came up, although there were people inside the house that we could see looking out the window, and we couldn't pull up the listing to see what we were supposed to do because there's absolutely no service. We thought maybe we were at the wrong place, but there was a little sign at the driveway. We couldn't even call the number because we didn't have a phone connection. We stood around for a while, not sure if the big dog was friendly or guarding, and finally someone came out, told us to camp anywhere in the front yard, and that the water wasn't hooked up but might be in the morning for showers. The shower was outside and it was pouring rain, so we just left in the morning as quickly as we could.
If you are just looking for a place to throw a tent in a big grassy area, it would be fine. Don't expect any services, and expect cars zooming past in the middle of the night. There is also a bar or saloon or something across the street.

This is a beautiful, well-maintained property with a great host and amenities… not to mention, Yaak is just a neat little community in the mountains! We highly recommend this site!

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Shameless Oasis. The sun room was perfect, just what you need when you want to camp but don’t want all the fuss of bringing a tent, etc. The owners seemed kind and genuine, it was fun to let our dogs roam around their yard and sniff all the new smells. There was no cell service but they did have fast WiFi.

What a cute spot!! Expect to be able to disconnect from the world a bit here in Yaak. The campground is cute, raw and has some unique features! A dock to go out onto the water, coffee shop, a quaint mercantile that has the locals handmade goods of all sorts. And just a stones throw away is the tavern! I stayed an extra day so I explore the area and oh my am I SO GLAD I did :)

Mira is an excellent host! So friendly and accommodating even when we booked to stay in the off season, she arranged an indoor shower for us to use in one of the little cabins she had for rent. It's in a great location just down from the pub and mercantile, with river access for our canoe. We would definitely rent the whole place out for a family reunion as she has a ton of lawn games and even a ping pong table. It's rustic, but has everything you could ever need. We'll definitely be back!

I love the location and whole place how it is set up. Space for tent camping was very spacious and I felt very safe. My kids and I enjoyed the ability of rental paddle boat. Mirabai have kayaks available as well for rental. Outdoor shower is with hot water and it's must to experience. Mirabai sell coffee and baked goods and these are so delicious. She is very helpful with giving direction if you want to drive to trailheads. I enjoyed just being on her land and rest.
I would definitely come back to that place.

This place is a gem! The property is a good mix of trees & sunny grassy areas, and the 2 outhouses were clean. The hot outdoor shower was a dream, wish I had one at home! The owners were very welcoming and gave us good tips for places to go. Make sure you check out the Tavern, which is very close by. And make sure you get coffee and breakfast at Mirabai’s little coffee drive through!

Shameless Oasis is such a cool site! Very isolated in the Kootenai Forest, so it’s really quiet. Mirabai and her partner were so kind, and so was Cadence and her dog Rosco! After camping off-grid for a week, my friend and I were so happy to have a hot shower by our tent and a really yummy latte in the morning. The local tavern has AMAZING food and beers and is a 30 second walk from the property. All the locals gave us some great recommendations for swimming holes! But we also spent a lot of time sitting by the dock at Shameless Oasis, taking in the gorgeous view. Thank you for a great time.

Fantastic listing. Beautiful place. Gracious hosts. Loved the paddling. As a bonus, the neighboring bar was having a little music fest while I was there. Don’t skip their on site coffee and ice cream shop. Would definitely visit again. Thanks guys!

Mirabai was so delightful and accommodating. Her place is beautiful and we had everything we needed and more! We’re big coffee fans and the Coffee Shaak she runs has some of the best coffee we’ve ever had. We went paddling down the river in the paddle boat, spent the day swimming and climbing around the waterfall ten minutes away and made friends with the chickens that roam the property. Couldn’t recommend it more!

We had so much fun camping here for the 4th of July weekend. Mira and her husband were very accommodating and friendly! Not to mention the coffee stand and homemade ice cream was a welcomed treat! My kids loved being able to fish off the dock , swim and use the canoes/ kayaks. This property is as remote , yet we had WiFi an awesome outdoor shower! We even got to see a couple of firework shows from where we were ! 10/10 recommend if you want to camp but still need / want some modern amenities.

We had an amazing stay at Mirabel’s!
We camped and had access to a hot shower, fast wi-fi, a coffee shop, and river views right on her property. In addition, she is a great host who communicated well with us and made sure we enjoyed our stay.

What a nice lil gem of a property they have. It is right in the middle of a national forest. They really put alot of thought into their place. Love the river that runs along their place also. Very nice people & very accommodating! Make sure to stock up before coming out here tho, nearest town for groceries is 45 minutes away! Tho it's a pretty drive!

We loved staying here! The coffee shack on site was especially great, and you can walk just down the street to the tavern and mercantile to get ice/snacks/dinner/etc. It was also nice that wifi was provided since there's no cell service.

We stayed at Mira’s place for our 3 day weekend and I can’t say enough good things about her and her property. She’s a super nice host and very helpful. The property is meticulously well kept, the camp spaces are level, and everything was very very clean. We stayed on the side with all the trees and lots of shade, a picnic table, and fire ring. And the outdoor shower with on demand hot water was a welcome treat. The river running through the property and the camp kitchen provided such a relaxing place to enjoy the day. We will stay there again when we’re in the area, for sure.

Mira was so welcoming. The property itself is so serene and peaceful. Loved meeting her dogs and chickens, watching the hummingbirds, spitting deer across the Yaak river, and being able to hear music from the tavern. That was cool! Be sure to bring cash so you can enjoy a yummy latte in the morning and some delicious homemade ice cream in the afternoon from her stand. Looking forward to visiting again!

Previous reviews were helpful in knowing what to expect. Mirabai's Hipcamp was truly an oasis in a remote part of Montana. We were some of her first guests of the season and enjoyed the lovely grassy campsite and nearby hot shower, water pump and setting. Her dogs and chickens were a delight (well-behaved and not a nuisance!). She met us when we arrived and helped pick our comfortable site (we have a rooftop tent/car).
