We are a mile South of the Canadian Border just off US 95. Also, please note: Our tent campsite and RV campsite have separate booking sites but share the same shelter and toilet. You are in a forest on land shaped by the last Ice Age, The forest has nurtured generations of of wildlife including majestic birds of prey. It sustained the Kootenai People before borders separated their lands. It saw determined miners pass this way seeking their fortune in gold from British Columbia. This forest supplied timber to build railroads and homes for families in the western migration. Our family is the current steward of this forest and it is our wish to respectfully share its beauty and observe its wildlife with your family and friends! Our Forest is surrounded by Kaniksu National Forest which is managed by the United States Forest Service (USFS) as part of the Idaho Panhandle. National Forest.. The Moyie River ( say Moy-yay) has headwaters at Moyie Lake in British Columbia and feeds into the Kootenai River (say Koo-ten-e) just East of Bonners Ferry. The Moyie River is 95 miles long. The area is private, so there is no view of the neighbors. You’ll have a broken view of the Host’s Cabin. Camp is situated on 15.4 acres of Certified Family Forest. If you hear the rumble of a train at night, it's because the Union Pacific passes along the opposite edge of the property from the campsites. There is no mobile phone service at the campsite . There is WiFi at the campsite shelter. We strongly suggest you activate the “Cell over WiFi “ function on your smartphone BEFORE you arrive/lose cell signal so you can access Emergency 911 Services. There is a fire pit (firewood provided), covered shelter, a USFS-style charcoal grill, (bring charcoal and starter), picnic table, benches, bear-proof food storage box and TEMPORARY trash bin. Please plan to "pack-out" all of your trash and recyclables. There are a lot of deer roaming the property, along with many birds and other wildlife . OUR NIGHTLY CHARGE Includes all the firewood you need and a 10% Hipcamp Service Fee. It does not include 6% Idaho Sales Tax and 2% Idaho Convention and Travel Tax. Close to Abayance Bay for the summer concert series, The Bull Thing (Rodeo), Rendezvous Days in Eureka,, Hiking Trails, two golf courses, a brewery, the Old Red Barn (wine, coffee, charcuterie, gifts), The cabin had a beautiful antique bed that sleeps two and a futon that sleeps two but there is plenty of room for sleeping bags or roll away! Sleeps four comfortably but could sleep six or more. Space available for an additional travel trailer and electrical hookup! A porta potty and bottled water are available at the site and we are in the process of working on an outdoor clawfoot tub and/or shower house! Eventually there will be an outdoor hot tub! There is an entertainment center converted into a wine bar/coffee bar with coffee, tea, soaps, dishes, glasses, and amenities! For skiing Fernie, Whitefish Mountain, and Turner Mountain are all within about a forty-five minute or less drive! Make sure you check out Cafe Jax 3 for $7.00 breakfast menu, the Old Red Barn, and The Montana Farmacy Soap Saloon that has candies and all sorts of goodies! Your host makes and sells gifts baskets with Montana items and Lemon Grass Spa and Makeup Products! Cabin has electricity but no running water at this point, come and experience a true piece of Montana History!!!

Our winter visit to the Far North was excellent. The cabin was a perfect place to spend time together. We loved the selection of books available to visitors during our stay. It was great to have kitchen equipment and to use it easily. The fireplace kept us nice and cozy on snowy, cold days outside. The Views are stunning, with no one around but our family. It was ‘dry’ camping because of the late season, but that did not stop us from having quality time together. I love that Paul provides firewood. He was great at communication and make us so welcome at his property.

Weekend Trip to ALMOST TO CANADA - FAR NORTH IDAHO

One of my, my friends and my animals favorite places to stay.. Quite.. beautiful.. deer, squirrels, birds, river otters and other animal friends make it that much more special.. We love that we don't have to bring a lot for the trip to be comfortable in the cabin.. Thank you Paul.

2 nights at Upper Pack River Cottage

lots to explore in the upper pack river valley. Our experience with Mike as a host was fantastic, very accommodating. The cottage is very cozy and has many little extras stocked insids, flashlights right where you need them if your going out in the night, board games and cards, reading material, a book on the hiking trails in the area, cutlery and the shower works great. We highly recommend this getaway. This cottage would also be a great location to have close access to hunting in the area during the season as well.

1 night at Dancing Tree Sanctuary

The Hosts are so solid. People you want in your life. Kind, genuine. For me this is important and makes all the difference in this life and especially when sharing community. However, It wouldn’t really matter if you didn’t like them anyway, because in the whispering woods of their remote property, the cabin is on its own level. You’re all alone in the Magic of the hill top. Great place to reset, write, read. Or, Do absolutely nothing with your dog. Also a good jump off point to many trails and everything Panhandle. 20 minutes from Sandpoint. We came from Priest Lake and were headed to Glacier via the Swinging Bridge route on 2. Good pillows, comfortable bed, cast iron, games, telescope, wall of windows, yet so private. Only the soaring Eagles will see you. Doug brought me maps and books and Jessica brought me solutions for anything that came up along my way. Great communication. Reliable. Fair. Not for the Bougie. Unless you’re trying to come back to earth.

We had a really fun time staying in the cabin! It was very cute and had everything we needed. The fire pit / covered picnic table / bench swing area provided a beautiful view of the river and surrounding mountains. My husband was very happy with the trout he caught and the kiddos had a lot of fun playing in the river. Definitely recommend!

Paul has an amazing get away in the perfect location. It's right off the highway, so it has easy access. It is incredibly secluded and shows incredible thought into every aspect. The cabin is thoughtfully equipped with all the things that makes for a relaxing stay. He is fantastic with communication, too. Thanks for a great stay!
