Earn this patch by being the first to spend a night outside at a new Hipcamp.
Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.
Nestled in a pristine forested 5 acres, this cabin is close to Schweitzer Mountain (World Class skiing) and Lake Pend Oreille (a summer delight for boating, eagle watching and some outstanding fishing).
The space
This cabin in the woods of North Idaho is located on 5 acres of the pine forests between the Selkirk and Cabinet Mountain ranges. Explore the property on leisurely walks in the pines, relax on the covered deck (with outdoor space heaters and plenty of seating), watch the outdoor TV on the spacious deck.
Enjoy the West Deck for nighttime star gazing and open air that overlooks the "Swinging Moose" BBQ area.
The backyard is chain linked fencing that allows you to give pets freedom to be outside when you are gone, while isolating them from the BBQ area or the front (East) deck, to keep them from pestering you while you enjoy a meal or watch a movie.
Both bedroom have direct access to the decks and thus you can leave the cabin without disturbing anyone else!
Guest access
The entire upper floor of the cabin is for guest use. Currently, the garage area is not available below, however, there is abundant parking on both the main (upper) and lower access points to the Cabin.
Other things to note
Guests are welcome to use the firewood on the East Deck for both the upper and lower fire pits.
The Upper fire pit is located next to the main deck (East) and allows a more intimate setting for pet free enjoyment and the convenience of being next to the cabin.
The lower fire pit allows for a larger gathering and is next to the lower lawn, and enclosed (bug free) picnic table for outdoor enjoyment. We call this the Social Networking Site.
The is abundant room to enjoy the great outdoors on the property with nearby hiking, swimming, skiing, and even floating the Pack River in early summer.
The Blue Heron restaurant is within walking distance (.8 miles) and has a reputation as one of the best Prime Rib restaurants in that county.
They also have an amazing permanent sound stage with grounds that include playground equipment, horse shoe pits and a fabulous view of Walsh lake and Roman Nose peak (of the Selkirk mountains)Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay.
