This is a wild and exposed setting on steeper grass/dirt driveway(0-13degree grade) that best suits smaller RV's/Campers, all Overlanders, ATV's, and in general those with four-wheel/AWD ability. This is an adventurous site on the Kootenai River with a marked trail, tall pines, and steep rock scrambles to the water where the fish often bite. There are 2 numbered campsites, both yours to use with your booking. Additionally there is an outhouse toilet and two fire rings. The lower scenic space is good for one rig, and the upper space will hold a few rigs if that is needed. There is cell service for most carriers if you need it, but NO other utilities are present on-site, other than the toilet. There is potable water and black/gray dump available in town, and the Moyie Store is only a couple of miles away. Turn right at the white vinyl fence just after 86 Tall Timber Rd. The white fence in the photo's is only a few feet off of the paved road. Drive 900ft down the grass/dirt driveway to the landing area and enjoy! See photo’s for more guidance. Follow the white and blue hiking emblems to get you to the scramble to the river. Only scramble to the river if you have experience bouldering. There is about 200ft of Class 3 steepness when considering the 5 classes on the Yosemite Decimal ratings scale. Flat landers do not typically enjoy the scramble but may enjoy the hiking loop. Please do not burn any of the logs that are used as guides along the hiking trails. Campfires are usually allowed, but there are local fire regulations at the Idaho Department of Lands website. Be safe, follow the daily fire rules.This is an off-grid camp, however there is cell service. The location is just off of HWY 2, so you are only a few minutes from the Moyie Store services and a few miles from the Sturgeon Station! We only allow solo or group bookings to respect your privacy. For more clarity, both marked sites 1 and 2 are for you to use as you prefer. Additionally there is an outhouse toilet and two fire rings. This property is 5 acres. Please be mindful of orange survey markers/ribbons at the boundaries in respect of the neighbors and strict fire safety. The OnX App and local GIS also provide the satellite boundaries if needed. The provided picture should give you enough guidance. Enjoy your stay!

Location and scenery on Travis’s land was spectacular! Got some great pictures of the surrounding mountains. Go slow going down the hill on your way in as it’s a bit steep. Had the whole place to ourselves and would recommend this spot to anyone.

When you head to the site make sure you slow down and pay attention to the white fence and turn right at it, DONT pass the white fence because its an adventure lol. Travis was very nice and helpful. Get information before going, We have the site to ourselves, loving views, very clean toliet. We were there for just one night. Thank you Travis,

This wild Kootenai River site is an adventure lover’s dream. With fantastic fishing right off the rocky bank, and two separate, private fire-ring areas, it’s a rugged, authentic experience. A well-situated outhouse adds convenience to this "rough-it" oasis. Travis was great to work with, always quick to answer any questions.
