Staying at Treenet was awesome. It was a totally different experience, and I'd recommend everyone stay here for a night.
Magical fairy ring bed in the redwoods. A ground cloth tarp was a great base layer, a camping mat, and several fluffy blankets made a cozy love nest for the night under the stars. We fell asleep to the sounds of Great Horned Owls chatting away and woke up to deer quietly walking underneath.
Bonus points for the giggles that come with the occasional bounce, reminding you of the springy webbing beneath you.
A truly unique experience that will be front and center in our memories for many years to come.
Recommendations: bring a few large bags to carry your things up and down, there are a few hooks to hang a bag once you’re up.

I loved sleeping in the trees . It is a very unique experience. However there is no bathroom not even a porta potty. I think the price for this is way too high.
This was a magical experience! So comfortable and beautiful. Louis was a clear communicator and the area was beautiful. Highly recommend!

Awesome. Bugs minimal, no sea mist, so being on the net without any other shelter was no problem. My party of three appreciated a leisurely morning just admiring the view.

This was an unforgettable experience. I would have never thought nestled in this sweet area would be such a unique treasure.
This was honestly such a unique experience! 😂 Even though the location was in a residential area, once I lay down surrounded by all the trees, I completely forgot how tired I was.
My husband and kids slept like babies😂. Meanwhile, I was wide awake half the night thanks to all the mysterious animal noises. I’m pretty sure I heard stray cats, squirrels, and definitely some dogs barking. Every little sound made me jump!
I think the fact that there was no roof made me feel a little vulnerable, too. Then, at some point in the middle of the night, I woke up and suddenly remembered, “Wait… I’m literally hanging in a tree!” 😱 That realization scared me all over again, and I didn’t dare move an inch. My family, of course, was sleeping peacefully like logs.
When the morning mist finally rolled in, I felt safe again. 😂 Looking back, it was absolutely unforgettable. I still remember waking up in the middle of the night, surrounded by complete darkness, and realizing I was suspended in a tree. Definitely gave myself a second scare!
But honestly, I loved the experience. Even now, when I’m lying in bed at home thinking about it, I still get excited. It was definitely one of those experiences I’ll never forget.
The only thing I’d suggest is that if you bring your own portable toilet, bring some kind of shelter for it too. Trust me, you’ll appreciate it! 😂

Sleep in the Treenet is a fun and keep in cool in the tree. We love it and want to go again when we have time.
my group loved staying here! it was so magical up in the trees especially with the fairy lights. would soooo reccomend it! we only stayed their for one night which i feel was perfect, and got a hike in before in the surrounding area, and explored cute downtown nearby as well! thanks for a great stay

My partner and I love the tree net! This was my first time trying Hip Camp, and I was so excited for this — totally lived up to expectations. The tree net is secure, fun, and romantic, too, with the string lights. Our host was very communicative all throughout the stay. We read books under the dim light, covered by the trees! Logistics — we’d recommend setting up a private tent / covered toilet - makes it a lot easier for 1 am bathroom breaks. Bring snacks and lots of blankets and bags (helps with keeping small items out of the bramble) — eye masks, too. It’s not the best sleep, but there are things you can do to make it much more cozy. I’d totally recommend it.
We loved camping in the Redwoods. Such an easy getaway from the Bay Area. The web was perfect for the 5 of us, and we loved the local coffee spot and restaurant down the street

Super fun stay! My 3 friends and I slept comfortably. The bathroom is not very convenient so we drove a couple times but it was a very close drive. Bring lanterns! It is in a neighborhood but very quiet and has kind people. Luis is kind and reliable. We will be back!!!

Waking up to beautiful trees and wide open spaces was such an amazing experience. Being surrounded by so many hiking trails, peaceful creeks, and the redwood forest made it even more special. My kid had an incredible time exploring nature, building little forts, and creating all kinds of adventures in the woods. We had an absolute blast!

The tree-net was perfect, a bunch of room to set up a bed and the lights made it even better. No notes.
I was a little skeptical with this being in “someone’s yard” but it was so amazing! The net made it feel like you were floating in the trees. We had a small blowup pad and a few blankets since we flew in. Would have been perfect with pillows :) so comfy and cozy and unique!

Louis’ communication was excellent. It was exactly as described. I was a little worried that there wasn’t restroom facilities but there is one within a quick drive. We had an amazing time. Everyone should do this at least once. I just checked off a bucket list item I didn’t even know existed. (I randomly found this.) If you are on the fence just do it. You won’t regret it.
Was this a great night of sleep? No.
Was it the most fun we’ve had in many months? Absolutely.
Will we be back? YES!

Such a fun experience - a bit like sleeping on a trampoline but higher up! We were perfectly comfortable with a sleeping pad and cozy sleeping bags/warm clothing. This was the perfect unique sleeping place for us!
This was an incredible experience! The treenet is so beautiful with the lights and the view of the redwoods. Unforgettable night. There’s nothing like it!!
What an amazing spot! It was very peaceful and we all felt so close to nature here. The net was really comfortable, there was plenty of room for the 4 of us. Louis was very attentive and communicated well. Couldn’t have been any better.
I absolutely loved staying in this tree net! Beautiful view and surprisingly comfortable, though it definitely helps to have a couple layers underneath your sleeping bag. A tree fort for all ages, a wonderful experience, and definitely worth the stay! We ended up getting in later than we planned, after dark, and Louis turned the string lights on so it was easy to find. Thanks, Louis!

Louis was a great communicator and host, and the redwoods are beautiful! Such a unique adventure, and I hope to visit again soon :)
So much fun! We got in right after dark and Louis came down to guide us in. We had our own private driveway that circled around, very easy to get in and out. The treehouse is built very well and the netting felt like we were sleeping on a trampoline. The first ladder has about 14 steps and the second has 7. Make sure if you are carrying a backpack that you keep your body close to the ladder when climbing up and down. Would definitely come back again!

It was a nice stop off on our travels, had a great nights sleep listening to the hooting owls and drizzle falling on the tree canopy.
This place was honestly magical. Sleeping in a tree net surrounded by redwoods felt like such a deep, connected experience with nature. I had read reviews saying the sounds of coyotes or distant cars made people uncomfortable, but for me, it was the opposite. I loved it. It made everything feel more alive and immersive.
The host provides great, detailed information ahead of time, which I really appreciated. That said, I highly recommend arriving during the daytime. We arrived at night and, with no lights on, it was a bit tricky to find. Also, if you plug the coordinates into Google Maps, it will take you to a good parking area, but the actual treehouse is across the street.
Bathroom tip: privacy during the day is limited since nearby houses are visible. I recommend bringing a portable toilet and a privacy tent for comfort. There was communication ahead of time from the host about this.
What I brought: a Pilates/yoga mat for me, 2 foam pads for my daughter, 4 large blankets to layer across the net, and air pads (though I didn’t inflate them due to quiet hours). This was great for comfort under our bodies.
The weather was perfect, which made it even better.
Also, stop by Mario’s in Fairfax - great service and food. We grabbed breakfast and grabbed food to go before backpacking. Mario is absolutely fantastic!
Even with a slightly rough arrival, this place was absolutely worth it. I’d 100% come back. Again, it’s definitely a special place!
