Hubcap ranch is located under the redwoods. Sorry no tent camping! Experience the campsite inland from the town of Mendocino. Go to the beach go hiking or shop in town. Visit the farm animals such as chickens and goats in the farm yard.Hike in Montgomery Woods and see the big trees or just relax under the trees. Firehouse park has swings for kids to enjoy also Also the water system is gravity feed spring so please conserve!! Please try to conserve heat and air conditioning if possible. If you have a big rig it is best to back in from the road if possible, thank you! We will help you into the site!! 40 acres to hike and bring your animals just stay on the road or path thank you. PLEASE DONT TAKE Orr Springs Road from Ukiah you will be sorry!! WINDY AND NOT R.V COMPATIBLE FOR R.V'S Wifi calling at site but last cell service is about 30 minutes away IN MENDOCINO OR BOONIVILLE Farm stand is seasonal. Everything was just FANTASTIC. Gravel pad, full hook-ups, cord and hose extensions ready, deck with mood lights and scenery with stream... and fast WiFi, perfect. The host was waiting for us to explain everything with the site. My 7 year old kid loved this place. It was so relaxing and healing place. Thank you!!

What a find! We loved staying at Joel and Pamela's property. They were flexible with our arrival time and shared good local tips on things to do. Our dogs were happy to run around the campsite, and our kids had fun exploring, seeing banana slugs, checking out the chickens, etc. Highly recommend and we'll definitely be coming back!

This is a working farm with private sites. The owners have added decks to each RV/travel trailer site, along with chairs, fun little windmills, table, and gas powered outdoor fireplace. There’s a beautiful working garden with fruit trees and a greenhouse (I’m not jealous). Gorgeous variety of friendly hens and roosters. The weather was mild yet perfect for sitting in the sun and relaxing. Redwoods all round us complete with meadows. The owners have overtook care to ensure our stay was the best it could be. So relaxing!

Joel and Pam are gracious, attentive hosts who made us feel welcome from the start. Joel helped us guide our rig into the site and made sure we had everything we needed. ✅ Pros: • Full Hookups: 30 Amp power, water, and sewer connections available. • Scenic Hangout Spots: Two platforms for relaxing • Comfortable Setup: Outdoor furniture, low tables, umbrellas for shade, and solar-powered path lighting for nighttime navigation. • Nature Trail: 1-mile loop hike on the property with 400' elevation gain — perfect for a short walk. • Quiet & Serene: Very peaceful at night • Reliable WiFi: Strong connection via fiber internet • Proximity to Towns: Mendocino and Fort Bragg are about 40 minutes away via a beautiful scenic drive. • Recycling & Trash: Convenient receptacles provided at the site. • LP Fire Pit: Clean and easy to use, with a donation box if using their propane (we brought our own). • Helpful Hosts: Joel and Pam were responsive via text and regularly checked in. • Local convenience store: Located .8 mile north of camp ⚠️ Cons: • Back-In Only: The site requires backing in, though space is available to turn around and help is typically offered. • Cell Service: Very limited • Hookup Location: RV hookups are on the opposite side than standard, though extension hoses and cables are provided. • Mosquitos: Notable presence near and after sunset — bring bug spray. Verdict: We had a fantastic and relaxing stay at Hubcap Ranch. . Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our stay at Pamela’s and Joel’s land. He met us when we pulled in and helped me set everything up after a nice chat. The site is gorgeous, quiet, and perfectly located to explore the redwoods and the nearby coastal towns. We’ll definitely come back next time we visit the area.

Everything was prepared for our giant rv! There was nothing for us to do and very easy to get in and out. Knowing now that this site exists, it would be great to spend a few nights here in the future. It is nestled in the middle of redwoods with a fast running creek near by.

We had a wonderful time during our stay. Upon arrival we received help in backing up to site and received additional guidance from owners. Full hookups as described and had extensions if needed to connect trailer. Short drive to coast. Be sure to look up into the sky on a clear night for a beautiful view of the stars. We’ll be back!

Pamela and Joel were great hosts! Very responsive, kind and a wealth of knowledge! Their property is absolutely the most beautiful campsite we’ve ever seen. Our time here was fantastic, even with the cool temps. So central to so much and wonderfully appointed. The creek runs right through the site! The trees are gorgeous. The deer in the meadow. The list goes on. Two seating areas to choose from and the coolest propane fire pit! Book this spot!

Pam and Joel's property was beautiful! The sound of the creek around the property was so soothing, lots of trees and privacy. The camper site was set up thoughtfully. Featured a deck, propane fireplace, full hook ups, WIFI and a doggy pick up station. Access to delicious fresh eggs was an added bonus! Will definitely stay again during the warmer months too!

Peace With Comforts!

What an amazing week my wife and I had at this campsite! If you’re looking for peace and solitude with the comforts of full hook-ups, this is your spot. It starts with Pam and her GREAT communication and willingness to answer all our questions before the trip. Be sure to check with them on the best route to take to the property. It’s a tricky drive to the property for a longer rig, but very doable and beautiful through the Anderson Valley. Joel greeted us when we arrived and helped get us backed in and connected. He’s got any extra utility supplies you may need to make it work. The beautiful grove of redwoods next to the site is peaceful, and the stream down below the site we could hear with our windows/door open. The WiFi was great for what we needed - no cell signal. We saw deer every day, and a flock of turkeys would walk right by our trailer every morning. There’s also a nice hike back through the property on their road. As other reviewers mention, there is a rental tenant of a small cottage pretty close to the spot. We saw him from time to time and said hello, but he was very quiet and kept to himself. Mendocino is not to be missed. Great food and hikes all around. Overall it’s clear up to this point why this spot is rated so highly. Worth every high mark. Book it. You won’t be sorry!

It's a good place with good hosts. You will have SWE hookups, a big wooden terrace with chairs, and a table under the red trees. You should be ready to back up, but the place is spacious enough, so backing up is relatively easy. There are not many things to do around, so it is perfect for enjoying a peaceful place.

We love this place. We come back every year! Sometimes we enjoy the no campground kinda stay but with all the hookups ha! Weathers usually very pleasant and out of any fog. Lots of blackberry picking this time and we made a cobbler once home. Joel and Pam are great host. We look forward to visiting and catching up on what they’ve been up to every visit.

Pamela has a special part of creation to share with others! We really appreciated the full hook ups, the peaceful silence and the meandering road on the property for walks. As others have named, a renter occupies the house near the campsite, but we hardly knew they were there. We will definitely be back!

Such a delightful place to stay! We had EVERYTHING we needed and more! This place was centrally located and made it easy for us to go to Montgomery Grove (an old growth redwood forest) and also play in Mendocino!!! Quiet and serene…couldn’t have asked for a better host! And we HIGHLY RECOMMEND buying some fresh goat cheese and goat milk while you are there!

Beautiful spot! Pam was a great host! It’s a long back-in drive from the road which was tricky for us. Twisty, narrow roads to get there. Once there, the place is gorgeous. We bought farm fresh eggs and cheese! Pam was great at communication, as well!

If your looking for peace & quiet, you'll find it here at this beautiful, serene ranch. We brought our dogs and stayed for a week and had an amazing time. Not to far from the bay area, but far enough from the hustle and bustle. Cute chickens and goat, and we loved the residents dog Bif. We will definitely be going back! Highly recommend!

Quiet Spot Under the Redwoods

This is a beautiful and very quiet spot under the Redwoods and along a creek. Joel and Pamela keep it very clean and tidy and have thought about all the comforts. The hook ups are on the front right side, as you back and for us this meant all of our connections were on the other end and other side. Joel has everything you would need though to extend all of your connections, but if you have your own you might want to bring them. There is a beautiful deck with chairs and a table and also another deck with a gas firepit you can use. Hubcap ranch was easy to find and located near Montgomery Woods preserve, Orr hot springs and not far from the ocean and the town of Philo. Joel and Pamela were very helpful and attentive and were great hosts. We will definitely be back. Oh and we bought a dozen eggs and they were so fresh! We highly recommend them too!

Something for Everyone

Hubcap Ranch is the perfect balance of rural peace and activity. The full hookups, decks with chairs and private road for walks are only the start of why I rate this place 10/10. We spent hours sitting quietly by the creek, listening to the birds and enjoying the variety of trees. Then, every so often there would be a Ranch project to be interested in. Pam was prompt in answering questions and Joel came by every so often in the beginning to make sure we had everything we needed. If you want to do more, Comptche is nicely located in between Anderson Valley with the fairgrounds & wine tasting and the coast with beaches. Added bonus: Don’t miss the Farm Stand with fresh milk, eggs, jams and more.

Whole experience was excellent. We stayed almost a week. Very nice and accommodating hosts. Beautiful area! They gave us great hiking tips. I’ve had fresh eggs before, but there’s are exceptionally good. The goat cheese and preserves were great too. The area has so many things to do. Hikes in redwoods, on the coast, great restaurants in all directions, and the wineries were fun and unique as well. Can’t wait to return.
