With 280 acres of gorgeous scenery, Starve-Hollow Recreation Area is a dreamy southern Indiana getaway. Hikers will love the 11 miles of trails that weave through dry ridge tops and lowlands, or can opt instead for that gorgeous sunny beach. Get thy boat to water with one of the three launches available, or rent one if need be. Considering its conveniences like a fish cleaning station and concession stand, we vouch this place is five stars (at least by park standards).

My husband and I recently camped at Starve Hollow with our Aliner, Amerigo, and thoroughly enjoyed it! We had a beautiful campsite right on the water complete with Tall Pines and scenic views. The lake is so peaceful (only trolling motors allowed). We rented a canoe and spent most the day among the lily pads. We hiked a very hot & humid 5.5 miles as well. The trails were pretty, but could have used some maintenance. We battled spiderwebs and briars the whole way. However, we will definitely be back to Starve Hollow. Overall, it was a great experience, and the drive from Indianapolis was a breeze!
