Come and de-stress by snuggling our goats. These bouncing bundles of joy are guaranteed to make you smile! We also have chickens, peacocks, honeybees, and even a pig. We are near Tallahassee but in a rural area, down a bumpy dirt road, but we promise the trip is worth it. Kayaking and hiking right off the property, plus beautiful sunsets on the lake.

We are in a rural area of Tallahassee, along the Florida Big Bend Scenic Byway and surrounded by the beautiful Lake Talquin State Forest. Great fishing and hiking trails and beautiful sunsets. Two Trailwalkers and one Trailtrotter trails are just minutes away.  There is also a 10-mile Lines Bike Trail.  See trail maps in our photos!

We offer a roomy water resistant glamping cabin tent with high quality queen tatami beds  and fresh linens.  The site has a small fire pit, and chairs and table.  If we are under a burn ban, there is a large communal fire pit by the outdoor kitchen. There is no electricity in our tent, but you may charge your devices in the common room.

It is possible to comfortably fit five in the tent with the two beds and one cot (provided when available, ask ahead).

We provide water, wifi, laundry, fresh eggs (unless girls are on break in winter),  milk for purchase (when moms aren't nursing), and fresh fruits and veggies for the picking when in season.

Farm fresh breakfast and coffee or tea provided on Saturdays. There is also a kayak available for use.

We have a small outdoor kitchen area with grill, stove, utensils, and picnic table. Basic cooking ingredients are provided (oil, salt, pepper, eggs, etc) and you are welcome to pick from the garden when in season.

There is also a common room with sofas, laundry, fridge, microwave, tv, coffee pot, and kettle.

We have a small rustic bath house with hot shower and a composting toilet. Soap, shampoo, conditioner, and fresh towels provided.

We can also offer extra tents and air mattresses for $15  if you need more space.  You will need to setup/break down the extra tents yourself.   Be sure to message to check that we have an extra tent available.

Check-in/Check-out time may be flexible depending upon concurrent bookings! We ask that you clear your campsite by 11am, but you are welcome to spend the remainder of the day hanging out with the goats, kayaking, or just relaxing.

Dogs welcome at all sites, but are not allowed the pasture.  Dogs must be leashed during the day when our chickens free range.  Please bring bags and clean up after your companion animals! We do charge a $10 cleaning fee for pets in our tent.  Please add your pet as an extra adult when you book (ex. just one extra person, even if you have two dogs) and let us know you adding dogs so we don't set up a cot for them! If you are booking for more than one night, please do not add your dog as an extra person, but let us know in a message, so we can add the charge.  Otherwise, Hipcamp will charge your dog $10 per night and that is not our intent!

Ask us about our goat yoga classes! We generally have classes twice a month on Saturdays and also offer private yoga classes with our without the goats!  Just send us a message for details.

Please arrive before 7pm.  Remember, there is an hour time difference if coming from the west.  Late arrivals disrupt our milking routine and we cannot stop milking to greet you.

Feel free to message if you have questions!  The herd looks forward to meeting you!!

Things you should bring:

Lighting for walking about (we will provide a lantern)

Refillable water bottles

Sunscreen if you plan to be out on the lake

Bug Spray

Ask us about our goat yoga classes! We generally have classes twice a month on Saturdays and also offer private yoga classes with our without the goats!

We are located at the end of a bumpy 3/4 mile dirt road off Highway 20/Blountstown Hwy on the lake.  Part of the road is paved, but most is dirt and we are prone to flooding after more than a couple of days of hard rain.   We have several cars in the neighborhood that don't have a problem on the road, but - full disclosure!  If bumpy dirt roads bother you, our road in is not for you.  We - and most of our guests - think it is worth it.

Feel free to message if you have questions!  The herd looks forward to meeting you!!

We had a lovely stay. Melissa made us feel welcome and at home on the farm. We came because of the goats and they did not disappoint. My children were infatuated with them, especially the babies. All of the animals are well cared for. I am certain we will return.

Melissa was a great host and loves sharing her knowledge of the different residents of her farm. The tent and queen beds were comfortable. The outdoor area by the tent was nice with the large rug, table and fire pit. Fellow campers were very friendly. Our group had a fun weekend and we will stay at Goat House Farm again.

Melissa is so sweet! The set up is SOOOO much better than we were expecting. It is such a beautiful place and there are so many animals that you can tell Melissa genuinely loves and takes such good care of. There are cats, chickens (with fresh eggs), tons of baby goats, and even a couple of peacocks. It is such a good, relaxing environment and I would 100% recommend

Goat House Farm was amazing. Just what my family was needing. A little get away from all the craziness of this pandemic and daily life. Melissa and Priscilla were great. They were helpful and caring. Priscilla taught my children how to milk a goat and wasn't bothered by my youngest child's million questions everyday lol. We absolutely fell in love with the animals there. You can tell that they receive so much love. They just love being loved on. I would absolutely recommend this trip over and over again. We will surely be back.

Me and my children had an amazing time glamping at the goat house farm. The kids loved petting the goats, pig and chickens. The tent was well shaded under trees and the inside of the tent felt like a home away from home. The environment is well kept up and she welcomed us like we were family. I would definitely recommend to anyone both young and old.

Brought out 10 and 12 year old for a weekend trip. We enjoyed the goats, and there were lots of babies! They are very friendly, and loved being held and interacted with. The chickens and peacock, were so fun to watch. Lots of kitties, and a pig also! The farm helpers were great and we enjoyed their interaction and how they ended up at the farm helping. The lake was gorgeous. A steep walk, down a trail. So I would bring shoes for sure that are not just flip flops :-). The tent was perfect. And waterproof! Everything provided that you could need! We will be back again!!!

Melissa is just lovely as is Cindy, a farm helper. The glamping site was better than expected as the beds were super comfy and the tent and site were immaculate. I'm a city girl with no real camping experience, especially not camping alone. They made me feel so welcome and at home. Add to that all of the goats and chickens and kitties and the pig and the peacock and you've got a great getaway spot.
