Slow Boat Farm
This was a terrific visit. Puget Island and Cathlamet are really gorgeous places, and Slow Boat Farm was a perfect place to stay- the photos really don’t do it justice.
Lisa and Brad gave us a warm greeting and checked in, but we had some nice privacy. The land was well-tended, with lots of shade and run-around areas, toilet and shower were well kept up and smelled pleasantly of hay, and the road nearby was quiet, even during the busy Bald Eagle Days weekend.
If we had it to do again, which I hope we will, I’d bring a dog and/or bikes.
Hot tip for Cathlamet: the kayak vending machine at the marina (and Salt & Tomato afterward). The librarian at the library was very friendly, as were the Bingo players at the Norse Hall (only once a month, so schedule accordingly!)

Slow Boat Farm
I had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Slow Boat Farm. Brad & Lisa were lovely hosts & very responsive. They greeted me when I arrived and guided me to the camp area (I arrived after dark) and stopped by to say goodbye and deliver some treats when I left. The property is beautiful and very peaceful. I was looking for a place to chill out, read a book and hang out with my dog - this was perfect.

Beautiful site! I loved staying there. Absolutely serene to sit beneath the apple tree, watch the cows graze, admire the deer walking by. A perfect place to spend the full moon.

Great spot to take our dogs and be out of the city. Hosts are super sweet and very accommodating. We didn’t get the chance to fully explore the island but will definitely be back!

Second time camping here, and it literally just brings me so much peace. The views are just unmatched and the owners are the sweetest ppl on the planet. I will be going back every year. Also really close to so many great areas, kayaking hiking etc.

This was such a great spot with very friendly hosts! The spot is wide, with views, and a cute outdoor toilet/shower. I spent a lot of time staring at the field & cows & it was lovely. They brought us squash, green beans & figs too!! As a campsite connoisseur, highly recommend.

Slow Boat Farm
The spot was the perfect relaxing conclusion to our road trip up the Oregon coast! Brad, Lisa, and Holly were amazing hosts to us and our pup, and there was plenty of room to kick back and enjoy the sublime scenery of the island and beautiful sunsets. The heated outdoor shower was glorious, and the nearby ferry over the Columbia was convenient and fun for a day of exploring Astoria. Would definitely stay here again when passing through the area. Thanks so much!

Great location and so close to PDX and Astoria. Loved the layout with flat camping spots. Composting toilet was easy to use and very clean. Propane shower was awesome! The bamboo through the boards really made it feel like you were outside.
Hosts were great to work with and chat with too.

Expansive open views across gorgeous farmlands. We especially loved the water access on a slough across the street; it felt like the most serene Bob Ross painting come to life. A uniquely healthy environment, this campsite will be added to our favorites.

This campsite has a nice open grass field with a beautiful sunset. Large wind-protected fire ring to build a nice fire in the evening. I've never used a compost toilet before, but I like it better than a porta potty! The hosts are also very nice and helpful. We loved our stay!

Slow Boat Farm
This was our second year at Slow Boat Farms. It’s a wonderful single site camp. Lots of room and places for shade. Lovely place to relax. We bring our dogs too. The shower is amazing!! Great place for small groups. It was too hot last year but this year we used the fire pit. The little ferry over to Oregon is a great way to get to Astoria or Cannon Beach. Seeing the stars at night or the full moon was beautiful. We will be back again.

Lisa and brad were awesome hosts. The camping aite is perfect for multiple members of family and especially dogs. Water, hot showe and toilet are there so no worries. If you want a get away into a serene yet peaceful environment with a bit of nuce wild life like deer and elk walking around and amazing valleys surrounding your canpsite, not mention a big firepit this is your spot. For family gatherings, bdays, and camping adventures, you wont regret this spot. Thanks again Lisa and Brad. We will definitely see you again.

What a gem. Had a lovely & chilled out time on this well-kept farm. They gave us the run down of the property & we had loads of space to spread out. Lots of wildlife wandering around for viewing. We’ll be back again.

Such a peaceful getaway! We loved the wide open space to run around and kick the soccer ball around. Shade and privacy provided by lovely trees. Fire pit was amazing and we loved visiting with very sweet Holly and her person. Toilet and shower areas were very clean and easy to use. Thank you for sharing your space!

A warm welcome and a peaceful stay - great communication, easy to find and access, well-kept grounds. Felt private despite being in a corner of their field. Nice option to cross the street and be near a small waterway. I had my own accommodations in my camper van but the shower and toilet setup looked like a major upgrade from the alternatives for tent campers! Clear sky view for Starlink. I will be back!

Our friends and I loved this campground! We stayed for two nights in this beautiful property all to ourselves. Yes, just our group in this huge space with wonderful views and sounds of nature. Lisa & Brad as hosts were friendly, very responsive and offered information necessary for our camping experience. Compostable toilet is clean daily or if needed. Potable water is available and as well as power. Never forget about that relaxing warm shower through a propane tank. That was so special! We got everything we needed to be comfortable and we are very happy. We pitched 4 tents in an open space far from the trees, a tent tarp is a necessity since there is no shade when sun is up and mad hot. The temperature quickly drops as soon as the sun is set, please bring firewood for that campfire stories and smores. Sky is clear at night and we gazed through the stars. Such a beauty! Highly recommended and we wish to come back. 😇

Lisa and Brad were lovely hosts! Great communication before my visit. Huge space with a fire pit, hot shower, and composting toilet. I didn't spend much time there, so I didn't get to check out all the beauty of their space, but they were incredibly welcoming and hope to return.

I really enjoyed my stay. Brad and Lisa were welcoming and kind. There is a sandy beach with parking a couple minutes down the road, which my dog loved. Really appreciated the propane hot water heater. This is a gem of a place.

Slow Boat Farm
Slow Boat Farm was the perfect spot for an early season van camp! The camping field is spacious with a couple of nice clusters of trees, one of which my friend chose to pitch her tent in. Brad, Lisa and Holly are kind hosts who keep an amazing garden that they showed us. Puget Island gives you a back-in-time feel with farms, farm stands, sloughs with dock-built homes and endless bird watching. The migratory geese came in large waves throughout the day.

The site was clean and tucked away on Puget Island. Easy to access, quiet, with a friendly greeting from Brad, Lisa, and Holly. We encountered a bit of a wind/rain storm throughout our stay, but since the site was nice, it kept our spirits up and we found it to be adventurous.
I would highly recommend this site, and excited to come back when the weather is a little warmer and dry.
