Past trip
in Magical Harrison Serenity Ranch, CaliforniaAwesome views! totally worth it.
We had a great experience.
I’ll start from the beginning. Nicole was super nice and very responsive. Staff was great. Property was large so you could be social with other campers or be alone. They have a bunch of areas to hang out in camp along with several different look out areas that had spectacular views (you are above the clouds, it’s crazy). Fantastic star gazing at night and it was great to just chill and listen to the birds. Very relaxing place. I hate port o potties but these ones were immaculately clean w toilet seat covers and sinks and no smell even in the summer heat! They also have actual showers and one area with flush bathrooms that was also very clean.
Really no complaints. It’s not fancy but it feels like what you hope camping should be.
A big part of the drive up is on a very steep dirt road. I have a low riding car and a little more clearance would’ve been nice but you do not need four-wheel-drive (that’s on me though).
Five stars. Would totally go again.

Past trip
Arcosanti
in Arcosanti, ArizonaI camp all the time and this place was freaking amazing!!! Super private spot nestled amongst olive trees. You can hear owls and crickets at night. Gorgeous sunsets, incredibly helpful people, and a rich history or ecology and architecture. If you like alternative, off the grid living, this is the place for you. Pete was kind, knowledgeable, and generous with his time answering all of our questions. Five stars. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Veronica hasn't gone on any trips yet.
Hipcamp Hosts can leave an optional review of their Hipcampers after the trip is completed. This is where those reviews from Hipcamp Hosts will appear.
