Past trip
in True Serendipity Homestead, MaineAmazing hosts with such a lovely property. Mike showed us his chickens and garden and blacksmith shop and let us take chicken eggs and fresh vegetables from the garden.
Our site (2) was right across from the pond and the bathroom and road was easy access. You are close enough to the other campsites to see other groups but thatâs not a big deal, just fyi in case youâre expecting complete isolation.
It was also a very quick drive (30-40 min) to Acadia. We loved being in the park but then being able to drive back to our separate camp.

My friends and I had a great time. The lake was fun with kayaks and swimming, we enjoyed petting the horses, we had great hospitality from Thomas & Trevor who showed us around and helped us out when needed, and we were in close proximity to Anastasia Island. My favorite part was sitting around the fire with my friends!
A few things to keep in mind when camping here is that there are fire ants, tons of mosquitoes, and the potential for a love bug swarm to arrive on your campsite. We used a ton of bug spray but I'm still covered in a lot of bites. Not a big deal, but just a warning. Also, if you book the horse back riding, be aware that it is a 24 hour cancellation policy. We were unaware and had a small emergency and had to leave but couldn't cancel. Not the host's fault or anything but just keep that in mind!
Ashley was easy to communicate with & we were completely satisfied with the trip!

Terra Incognita Vineyard
in Terra Incognita Vineyard, GeorgiaBeautiful and serene
This was such an amazing site! I could not recommend it more. We pulled up in the morning and Tornsten helped us gather firewood and chopped it up for us which he did not have to do at all! The site is so beautiful and overlooks a vineyard and mountains.
There are nice bathrooms that are a 2 min drive away, pack your trash out with you, and just enjoy the awesome cleared out ridge. We had 8 tents with lots of space and played an adult field day. Could not have asked for a better site. We all want to go back!
