If the previous reviews seem too good to be true, the truth is they're probably still under selling it. It's not difficult to find coming from I-75 or from 411 and is very close to the Smokie's as well as Ft. Loudon State Park. This is an absolutely fantastic place to stay. Stephen and Ruth are wonderful and incredibly accommodating, they raise free range chickens so they offered us eggs which we made over the fire pit and they were remarkable. The camping space is fantastic because it sits on a hill with great views, and the outhouse is a nice touch as well. Stephen and Ruth offered for us to ask for anything we might need at any time, even to call if they were't home, it was truly a wonderful experience. I cannot leave a review without mentioning Henry, their dog who is the friendliest dog I've ever met, and I hope every guest gets to show him some love because he certainly gives it back like a dog you've known for years. Cannot recommend this place enough for any person/group who wants a nice getaway place with pleasant views and wonderful people, and I hope to go back sometime in the future.

Chris has a great spot for camping. Very easy to find the location with GPS and there’s even a sign at the end of the long drive listing Happy Landings with the Hipcamp logo. We camped in the back of the property, near the pond but just outside of the woods, wonderful spot. No light pollution so the sky is full of so many stars and there’s no annoyance of cars on a freeway or anything so it’s good and quiet. Chris offered us some firewood which was great but other than that left us to enjoy ourselves after telling us to make ourselves at home. These spot is easily accessible for Chattanooga/Cleveland and I would definitely recommend.

The site had it's pro's and its con's. The pro's were that it was very secluded and there was more than enough firewood to burn without even needing to walk anywhere to get it. The platform was a nice addition even though we just slept in hammocks. There were some issues with the site that need to be addressed. It was advertised as having a charcoal grill at the site but it was no where to be found which drastically affected how we were preparing food. From what we saw the stream appeared to be almost entirely dried up, and the road to the site can be easily missed and was fairly difficult to traverse as my car bottomed out a couple of times. The biggest downside being that cellphone service is very limited so contacting the host proved difficult and the page said that there would be a meet and greet upon arrival but we arrived about 2:00pm and left about 8:00am and never heard from them. Overall, it was a pretty nice place to camp and with some minor fixes can be a great place. I would recommend this place if you're looking to for secluded, backwoods camping site without having to pack and hike to it, better than the state parks in the area and mostly cheaper, too.
