Past trip
in Rock Creek Glamping Hideout, WyomingThe tent is right next to the main house on the property. It has power and wi-fi access even. There is a shower stall built onto a shed just behind the tent. It consists of a gravity shower that we didnât use and a little potty on the shower floor that uses a garbage bag (full disclosure- first time weâve ever used one but worked fine). There was a table beside it with a metal bucket and space to wash up. The biggest con was that there wasnât any water provided on site which was fine because we had brought our own. Access to a spigot would have helped, but we were fine without it.
We were a full tent- 2 adults, 2 young kids and 2 old dogs. We moved the cots into the big tent so our kids could sleep with us in there (too young for their own tent). Iâm so glad she had sleeping bags because our kids LOVED them and then we put our sleeping bags over them, because it was COLD! It got down to 40 degrees. I think we were the second to last booking before sheâs closing up for the winter. Thankfully the bed had lots of comforters on it and was oh so cozy! Just getting out of bed was hard!
Claudia had to take off early so she said we could go into the horse pen by ourselves and see the horses closer. So I took the kids in thinking weâd watch from afar and we were so surprised how amazing and friendly these horses were! They saw us and all came over to say high. I have never had an experience like this and I will never forget it. I could have stayed with them all day. Wow, what kind a beautiful creatures. Truly magical and made this stop one I will forever cherish.
Past trip
in Wildland Gardens, UtahTent was clean, site had beautiful views. The kids loved the chickens and the puppy that was running around. I appreciated access to the nice bathroom in the garage that had a toilet, sink and shower. I think itâs shared by other people who may live on the property but it seemed pretty clean. Otherwise there was a port a potty for the 3 tents to share. They were working on plumbing to build a bathroom by the tents so that will be nice in the future. The bed looked comfortable but I was on the tiny fold down couch with my daughter while my husband and son took the bed. The couch was not long enough for me but I was able to make it work. Biggest con of the stay was the main house had a party that night and it was loud pretty late into the evening.
Sonja hasn't gone on any trips yet.
