Wendy's Kick it Spot - Tent and RV
in Wendyâs kick it spot, CaliforniaFelt very safe here, they have a gated yard with a port-a-potty, sink, and shower. They have a pretty lounge area with BBQ, would have been cool to chill there but that didnât work for our timing. Met Kylo the dog who was a sweetheart.
DO FOLLOW their directions which will lead you through paved roads to Moon St but that last road is narrow and unpaved 2 mi. It was packed in by tractor so 4wd was not needed but was a rough ride and a little slippery in our camper van. Just know what to expect!
Twisselman Pond
in Twisselman Ranch, CaliforniaThis ranch is geared toward glamping, they have very fancy tents with beds and private grills, very nice bathrooms and showers. We stayed in our own (not glamping) tent. The hosts were not there during our stay, we met with one of their relatives. We had access to the bathrooms and showers and a communal cooking area with a sink and stoves. We were the only campers onsite for most of the evening which was very lucky, so we enjoyed paddling on the pond, dipping our feet in the wading pool tub, and chilling under the trees. The pond smelled very strongly in the morning of algae, that was the only drawback. Overall enjoyed the stay and would recommend, there is a lot of value added with amenities like the cooking area and bathroom.
