South 40 Flats--Site 2
in Hideaway Oaks, CaliforniaNeil & Karin were wonderful hosts. Their directions were easy to follow, and as they mentioned, our GPS told us to go a different way but we followed their notes and made it with no issues :) it was a great drive, very relaxing once off the main road. We enjoyed our ice cream and our antisocial dog ran right up to both hosts who sweetly asked to give him a treat as well. One thing I didn't realize was there are 2 sites there, we apparently parked and set up at the wrong one, but since no one else was arriving that night they let us stay there. We enjoyed the hike up the hill and did a nice little loop with our dog a couple times. Oh, do not forget to check out the stars!! They were absolutely amaziiiiing!!

Past trip
Dora-Rozi Retreat
in Dora-Rozi Retreat, CaliforniaWe really enjoyed this camp set up :) we needed a quick semi-local getaway and this was perfect. Wish we had a bit longer to explore more, but our stay was exactly what we needed! There were so many details of care on this property, stars were awesome and the area was quiet while we were there. Vehicle noise did not bother us one bit. PERK -- there's an actual toilet, sink and shower! One thing I would have enjoying knowing in advance is a caretaker lives on the property at the bathroom area. He was really nice, it was just something I was unaware of and probably would have liked knowing in advance. We would stay again if needing a close getaway!

Past trip
in Camp WagMore, CaliforniaWE CANNOT WAIT TO CAMP HERE AGAIN!!! :D
We are locals and really just wanted to go somewhere, camp and feel like we were far away! We had theee best stay-cation! Site #3 is the perfect place for a group due to the size and privacy (we we're just the two of us but we can't wait to have a group campout there!) We wandered the trails around the property and recommend you do the same! Lori is a wonderful host who was very responsive and really has a fantastic property that I am so thankful she decided to share! Hollister Peak is my FAVORITE of the 7 Sisters and to be on a property right under it was so fun! (The general public cannot access that peak).
All in all, this is a FANTASTIC spot, 15 mins from basically everything you could possibly want! (downtown SLO, the beach, hikes, wineries, etc) We choose to be lazy and not cook over the fire one evening so we got poke bowls from Giovanni's Fish Market in Morro Bay (right on the water!).
STAY HERE! You won't regret it! :)
