Beautiful and private, yet close to many Central Coast attractions. Enjoy views of Chorro Creek Valley and iconic Hollister Peak from this oak covered terrain of knolls and interspersed grassland. This is a relatively undeveloped property that offers closeness with our local flora and faun, hiking trails, and privacy. Some of our guests have said it is like having a state park to yourself! Come prepared for primitive camping!Just off scenic Highway 1, WagMore is a 63 acre property, 10 minutes from the quaint harbor town of Morro Bay and 15 minutes from Montana de Oro.  Our happiest campers are those who prefer closeness with nature over a lot of amenities.  This primitive camp site offers plenty of privacy, wildlife viewing and room to roam while still being a short drive to many amenities and attractions in the Central Coast.  Site #3 is located in it's own private oak grove which is accessed by a hilly gravel road, and is best suited for tents and smaller vans and truck campers.  There is an open-air commode, a large picnic table, a propane fire pit all year and a seasonal wood fire ring which is open ONLY during the wet/green time of year--typically late November through April.  The site can accommodate up to three vans/cars plus three tents.  Although the road is rough, a two-wheel drive vehicle can make it--I drive my minivan up it all the time, and we've had many a Prius make the trip! We do NOT recommend taller (over 10 ft) campers, or RVs/5th-wheels of any size because of the overhead clearance and narrow road.  PLEASE NOTE:  oak forest on the Central Coast of CA has poison oak! Although we clear it back from the site and trails, it is native and loves to grow in the shade of the oaks. In Morro Bay just up the highway, visitors can enjoy beaches, fishing, boating, whale watching, surfing and SUP. Nearby Montana de Oro offers fantastic mountain biking and hiking. Also, the southern part of Big Sur is day tripping distance up Highway 1 from the camp where visitors will find spectacular scenery and hiking.
