Canvas tent in the redwoods
in Serendipity, CaliforniaBliss in a bell tent.
Perfect find for a quick getaway, A beautiful site under the trees and stars.
This site was clean and comfortable. The yard backs up to a creek and the main home felt a lot like a cabin in the woods from a fairy tale. Compost toilet, with hand washing basin was well kept and the camp kitchen has everything you need to make a breakfast or dinner. The Bell Tent was clean and warm, It was a firm pad atop an air mattress, which was plenty comfortable for me.
It was a great place to fall asleep and an even better place to wake up. I met the daughter of the Hipcamp Host and all the dogs. They were warm and inviting folks.
My only two suggestions for guests arriving are...
1 - If you are traveling with food in an ice chest either leave it in your car overnight or if it does not leak, maybe bring it into the tent. Do not leave it outside for the critters.
2 - if you are not familiar with the area, start your google maps directions long before you leave Mendocino or the 101. There is no service anywhere in between and drive out to find it during the day.
