Past trip
in Elkenmist, WashingtonMy family of four (including a six year old) had a good time. There are sheep in a meadow and we enjoyed being stared at placidly by them. The composting toilet was delightfully clean and tidy. Though it was a cold and rainy night, the fireplace kept us warm and the yurt stayed dry. The yurt was very spacious. The things on the inside were very cool: a zodiac poster and chimes with a mallet. A very peaceful spot. And new gravel made the driveway easy to back out of! Thanks!
Past trip
in Rivers Ridge, WashingtonThe view! Super incredible opportunity to look down at the Columbia River from high on the ridge. Lovely. We felt very pleasantly isolated and were able to set up three tents comfortable on the pads. Directions were super clear, thanks Robert!
Past trip
in McGovern Residence, WashingtonVery much as described, this place is a slice of solitude and peace. Truly unique and beautiful as the best hipcamp places can be. We slept right by the river and were able to hang in the hammock at twilight. Our older kid (10yo) did some wading in the river (as did we); our younger (3yo) was a little nervous about the river/steps down to it). Really a lovely spot; hope to be able to visit again soon.
Past trip
in Willow Point, MontanaWalter's spot on the Bitterroot River is just beautiful. After a lot of car camping at National Forest campgrounds, this place felt really private and special. It is fairly close to town--a few planes landing at night, dogs barking in the distance--though it feels really magical. We'd stay again for sure.
Nick hasn't gone on any trips yet.
