in Corning Oaks, CaliforniaPrivate, stars, oak tree, a little
Very private lots of stars and the beautiful oak tree. This would be a good place to come and have maybe a little party for Halloween cuz it is a little spooky by yourself. But it's a nice green pretty place. It is not easy. And I recommended headlamp for opening and closing the gate because you'll need both hands and it's impossible to do in the dark to do the both of them it's impossible just to put the lock together much less the numbers but that's the tiniest thing I could say that was difficult and it's very independent you don't see the host and it's nice and there's two horses and I listen to music in my car and drink some beer and howl at the moon a little bit. I like the fence is recessed from the road so I didn't have to park in the road to open the gate.

MoonBeam Farm
in MoonBeam Farm, CaliforniaSweet farm for self contained rigs
Kristin H.recommends this listing.
(Dispersed site)
We must support organic farms and small biz esp. in NorCal. It was easy to find in a dark area because of good signage. Sweet little store with lots of good smelling soaps, perfect stocking stuffer stuff. Quiet and private with view of lavender crops. This really is for self contained rigs as there is no bathroom and even peeing is dicey as they have to keep the soil organic. Muddy too. Summer no shade. What I liked the least was each time I left, my car stuck out in the slim road while I had to reengage gate and chains. Property less than a mile in 2 directions from amenities.
Past trip
in Websters Farm, CaliforniaFarm smells and sounds abound
Midnight of Easter cows on the distant next door farm began to moo in a chorus and by Easter morning it was like an opera with another farm's cows joining in. Kristy explained this is what they do when calves are being born. Are the somber but curious bovine bellows a celebration of fertility or is like Jesus, knowing they are going to slaughter so soon, knowing their calves will stand up again. The next night was quiet. The photos do not capture the sounds nor the smells of rich farmland.

in Websters Farm, CaliforniaBucolic basic boondocking
Near 360 views of mountainous horizons and dome of stars. Site 1 very private and little soft brown birds alight the fence wires. Cows and horses and cats interact. Provided with ample wood for the small extra price. Lovely farm smells and sounds.
This is pure and affordable boondocking very close to restaurants and stores. It is located on the SE corner of road DD and 12. The driveway is a diagonal through the property. Site one is a big patch of grass between the irrigation ditch and the road, whose potholes can be navigated along side the ditch.

in Websters Farm, CaliforniaSaw rafting of irrigation ditch
I am not brave enough for that, but was witness to thousands of black silhouettes rising from the fields in strings, bracelets, necklaces, ropes in the warm late afternoons that cool into the smell of alfalfa--calling to each other with the longing of the north and past towering anvil clouds over the mountains which change from cotton candy pink to cream sickle orange as the sun sets. The last day there were no more rising , they had left, and then so did I.
