Elderberry camp
in Lightworks ranch, CaliforniaMy group loved staying at Elderberry camp!
Stephen was super responsive, and did a great job making sure we had everything we needed (like firewood and local tips).
The location was great- new and clean pit toilet and running water at the campsite made things much easier for a large group of 17. We were the only group that weekend, so we really appreciated being able to play some music later than 8pm. The blackberries all around the campsite were a fantastic addition to our pancakes in the morning!
The weather in August is hit and dry, so unsurprisingly, the creek near the campsite was dry. Stephen had left a very nice note on how to get to the Eel River. We brought floaties and a cooler over to the river, and had two very nice afternoons there! The water was a perfect temperature and a bridge provided a lot of shade on the beach.
